How to Avoid Damaging Your Natural Nails ✨
Of course, issues can sometimes occur with your treatment, such as gel or BIAB not curing properly, or a faulty product. These issues are usually linked to application or product problems, poor preparation of the nail bed before application- particularly when the nails have been prepared by an inexperienced nail tech.
However, there are also a few things you can do at home to help prevent lifting and damage:
• Don’t pick or peel your gel or BIAB. Peeling products off can take layers of your natural nail with them.
• Use cuticle oil daily. Keeping your nails and cuticles hydrated helps prevent dryness and breakage.
• Wear gloves for cleaning and washing up. Water and harsh chemicals can weaken your nails over time.
• Be gentle with your nails. They’re not tools! Avoid using them to open packages or scrape surfaces.
•Keep up with your appointments. Regular maintenance helps prevent lifting, snagging, and unnecessary damage.
Remember, healthy natural nails are the foundation for beautiful manicures. A little care every day can make a big difference! 💅✨
