I will be working through my diary this morning to book everyone in that is waiting for an appointment, sorry for the slightly slower response but we have had a emergency operation for my own cat last week that was unexpected!
But doing well now thankfully! 🥰🐈🐈

This video shows nicely the horse is really enjoying her pad work , you can see she is swaying and shifting her weight from each hind without any input from myself .These pads can be useful in a few different ways but today’s session was for mobilising the hinds and stifle and encouraging joint lubrication 🐎🐎

I treat this chap on a regular basis , he’s a lovely ex racer that has come to the currant owners for an easier life .
He has a clubfoot (near side fore) and the altered hoof angle can influence loading patterns through the limb and body , sometimes creating compensation through the shoulders , back and posture . He also has had a historical injury to his tendon on the same leg , it’s likely the two are connected but without knowing the horses history it can be much like putting together a jigsaw puzzle, however there is some scarring on the back of the leg which in itself can be restrictive. This then causes additional tension through the lower limb .
Some of these compensation issues can cause shoulder restriction , cervical tension , thoracic sling asymmetry and altered pelvic loading .
He has regular physiotherapy sessions to help ensure he’s comfortable and any soft tissue disfunction is addressed. He also has a great team of vets and farrier 🐎🐎
I know I have said it so many times but I will never get bored of watching these guys relaxing and process those positive changes in the body . This is absolutely my favourite part of a session 🥰🐎🐎

When you are halfway through a physiotherapy session and they decide a sleep is needed but can’t wait until you have finished ! This handsome chap really made the most out of his session 🥰🐎🐎
