Hi everyone 👋 I hope you’re all keeping safe and well during these difficult times.

I’m sure you will have seen the announcement by Boris Johnson this evening regarding another National lockdown until 2nd December 2020. This means that Gel and Tell has to close again as it is seen as an “unessential business.”

I have made the very difficult and sad decision to close my business for the rest of 2020. I feel that this is the right choice giving the rising infection rates and the uncertainty of what will happen. I want to keep us all safe.

So, as it stands I will reopen in January 2021, current restrictions pending. I want to thank you all for your support, help and encouragement over the past year. You’ve all been absolutely amazing and I am privileged to know you all 💕

Hi everyone! I hope you’re all keeping safe and well.

As you may be aware, I am due to reopen on Tuesday 1st September. As you can appreciate, everyone’s safety is still paramount and I need to make sure that risks of infection are reduced as much as possible:

1. In order to reduce the risk of infection I am currently only scheduling 2 appointments a week and will not be taking on any new clients until further notice.
2. Social distancing needs to be in place as much as possible. I will ask that your appointment takes place in an area of your home with little traffic. I will also ask that no-one else enters the room for the duration of your treatment. Can you please make sure that the area where we will be working is clear before your appointment.
3. Before any treatments begin I will ask you to wash your hands/and or apply antibacterial gel. This will be provided.
4. I will ask you to wear a mask at all times. This needs to be provided by yourself. If you are exempt from wearing one for medical reasons then please ignore this instruction. I will also wear a mask while I am in your home.
5. All instruments will be cleaned with antibacterial solution and wipes before and after your appointment.
6. I will ask at the end of your appointment for you to again wash your hands/use antibacterial gel.
7. Due to the increased cost of stock, I have unfortunately had to increase my prices. I have tried my best to keep this price increase to a minimum. The basic cost of Gel polish on hands/feet will now cost £15. If you have the gel builder applied also, this will now cost £17. This can be paid in cash as before or by bank transfer if preferred.

Hi everyone! As I’m sure you’ve all heard, the government announced that nail salons and beauty therapists could open from Monday 13th July. I wanted to wait to check a few things before contacting you all.

Unfortunately, due to shielding restrictions within my family, I am unable to reopen until 1st September. This is based on advice from my husband’s specialist as he feels this is too much of a risk for our family at present.

I am so sorry that my date is 7 weeks after the government have made the opening announcement but I am sure that you’ll all support me in saying that my family’s health is my number one priority and I have to keep them as safe as I can.

I can of course, start to make some bookings from 1st September onwards and I will be making a separate post regarding steps and measures that will be taken to ensure health and safety after that date. If you would like to make an appointment please let me know.

Today the Government have confirmed that hair salons in England can open on 4th July with safe Covid 19 measures in place. Unfortunately, there still hasn’t been any confirmation of when nail salons and beauty therapists can reopen and resume treatments. I was hoping for the same date but today Boris Johnson said it is still unsafe for these businesses to open.

As soon as we receive further advice and guidance from the Government I will keep you all informed. Thank you so much for your all your patience and kind words during this difficult time.

Hello everyone! Do you remember back in March when I was fundraising for Endometriosis UK? It seems like an eternity ago doesn’t it?! I had to postpone the raffle draw due to lockdown and I want to thank you all for being so understanding about this 💕

I can confirm that we raised £135 online plus £32.50 in Gift Aid. We also raised £92 in raffle ticket sales which I will make up to £100. So in total Endometriosis UK will be receiving £267.50 towards their research and support programs. That’s an amazing effort so a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who donated.

I can confirm that we will be doing the raffle draw TONIGHT! The prizes will be drawn at random as will the names. I will then get in touch with you privately about delivering the prizes, all socially distanced and safe.

Excited to see who wins what!!

❗️Covid 19 Update❗️

As most of you are aware, the current government guidelines are saying that the earliest date I’ll be able to resume appointments is the 4th July 2020. This is od course subject to change and may be delayed.

I’m not taking any bookings for appointments as yet as I personally feel it’s a little bit to early to say whether we will be able to resume appointments on 4th July. I will keep you updated on this.

To keep up to date and to offer the safest treatments possible, I have taken my Barbicide Covid 19 certification for the Professional Beauty Industry. I will have this certificate with me at all times when I reopen.

I am looking forward to seeing you all very soon. In the meantime, stay safe and well 💕

This would have been my third Easter in business and no doubt, with this glorious sunshine, I would have been super busy! But it wasn’t to be this year. I’m missing you all tremendously and I can’t wait to see you all again soon.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who entered my raffle to raise money for Endometriosis UK. I should have been drawing the raffle today but due to the Coronavirus outbreak, I’ve decided to postpone the draw. I didn’t think it was fair to do it at this time as I wouldn’t be able to deliver the prizes to you. I can’t say at the moment when I will be making the draw but as soon as I am back up and running I will draw it as soon as possible.
