I have psoriasis and rosacea this obviously affects my skin's appearance and sensitivity but it goes much deeper than that. Being told that you can only use water and a soap free product to cleanse and nothing scented and only a medicated emollient to moisturise leaves you feeling rather less human and certainly less feminine. I loved nothing more soaking in a hot bath with my favourite bath salts urrounded by candles and lavishing my body in fragrance body butters; but not any more. My self esteem and confidence took a huge knock; I felt less attractive, less of a woman and as a result less of a wife. Since having monthly facials my skin has felt more supple, it is softer and more radiant. I have started wearing light make-up again and my confidence has returned.
