One I get asked quite a lot:

“Will a lash lift damage my lashes?” 👀

The short answer?

When it’s carried out correctly and the lashes are looked after properly, a lash lift shouldn’t damage your natural lashes. 💛

A lash lift works by gently lifting and curling your natural lashes, rather than adding anything to them.

But… more isn’t always better! 🙈

✨ Using the correct products
✨ Choosing the right processing time
✨ Taking your natural lash condition into account
✨ And leaving the recommended time between treatments

are all really important.

Your lashes have their own natural growth cycle, so they’re not going to stay lifted forever — and that’s actually a good thing! 🐷

As your lashes naturally grow and shed, your lift gradually grows out and you can have it refreshed when they’re ready.

🐷✨ Moving into Year Two…

Monday motivation 💪

So… The Pampered Pig is officially into its second year! 🥹🐷

And I’ve been thinking a lot about what I want this next year to look like.

One thing I really want to share more of is my own growth as a beautician.

Because even though I’ve been doing these treatments for a while now, I never want to get to the point where I think, “That’s it. I know everything.”

I don’t.

There are always little things to learn. Little details to understand better. Things I can fine-tune and improve.

At the moment, I’m putting a LOT of that focus into lash lifts. 👀✨

I’m doing more research, more training and working with an amazing industry coach and mentor, Bobbie Brows, who is helping me fill in some of the gaps and really look at the detail behind what I’m doing.

Things like eye shape, eye type, natural lash length, shield choice, shield placement and how all those little decisions can change the finished result.

It’s not about completely changing what I do.

It’s about fine-tuning what I already know and getting better at it.

And I thought it would be nice to let you see a little more of that journey over the next few months.

So this week, we’re starting with lashes… 👀

This lash lift was a gorgeous challenge.

The perfect mix of naturally long, thick lashes with a slight downward growth pattern, a prominent brow bone, and delicately deep‑set eyes with a gentle lower contour.

All those stunning features make for a lash lift that needs precision and balance.

For this client, we wanted a lift that would last beautifully through her four‑week adventure, rather than a dramatic curl that could grow out unevenly as new lashes come in. By choosing the Elly cloud LU Shield, we achieved a soft, balanced lift that complemented her round, open eyes, enhancing their brightness without making them look overly wide‑eyed.

A dark tint finished the look perfectly, defining every lash tip and showing off their full length.

When designing a lash lift, I always consider the finished result. A more curled rod like a C‑rod might have created too much bend, risking the lashes curling back into the socket. The LU Shield gave us that ideal upward sweep instead, elegant, lasting, and perfectly suited to her eye shape.

One of the questions I get asked quite a lot is:

“How long will my wax actually last?” 🤔

And the honest answer is… it depends! 😂

Everyone’s hair growth is different, but waxing generally gives you weeks rather than days of smoothness. ✨

Unlike shaving, which cuts the hair at the surface, waxing removes the hair from the root.

And when you wax regularly, you may find that your regrowth becomes softer and finer over time. 💛

This is also why I always say that waxing works best as a routine rather than something you suddenly decide to do the day before your holiday! 🙈

Your first few appointments are about getting into a routine and allowing your hair growth cycles to settle.
