These appointments are your time & as long as you keep your head still I can foil around most things

When it comes to lived in looks like this expect to need maintenance 1-2 times a year!! The darkened root melt really allows you to grow it for 6-9 months before you need a refresh

So pumped to have such incredible boss women working out of the salon 🙌🏼🫶🏼

Before & after results from a creative day of models in the salon this week
Joined by the beauties at The Hair Shed we took on 3 models in need of a hair overhaul

It can be hard to keep creative & inspired when you’re self employed, it’s important to find the space to push myself & collaborate with my peers. I had a blast with these amazing ladies giving them some new hair

✨Model 1 long grow out & post baby fallout - to make it look & feel thicker chopped off some length & used babylights around the hairline for a stronger face frame & teasylights for a diffuser root but bright saturated ends using Foil Me foils
K18 Hair treatment with Wella blondorplex + 1.9% moving up to 4%
Roots Redken 08N + 07P
Gloss 010VV + 010NB + 2 parts Clear

✨Model 2 Dark coloured hair with some previous lightener covered up, wanted to achieve blonde but very blended without any brass
Wella Professionals blondor starting with 4% up to 6% tiny teased & weaved babylights working tighter at the hairline for a face frame
Roots melt Redken 04NB mid colour 07M gloss ends 09AG + clear

Why is blonding SO expensive??

Gone are the days of classic highlights….’1 blonde, 1 caramel & 1 darker please’ you know we’ve all been there 😂

Now we get asked for these incredible shades but they come with a different level of work. Let me talk you through my journey

Grown out balayage, dark brown natural root, mids & ends brassy blonde from sun exposure & fading

Jode wanted a bright AF blonde with a nutty cool brown at the root which can only be achieved by lifting the whole head & then toning the root after
Full head of babylights (teeny thin highlights) packed in to get maximum lift - the equivalent of 2 classic full head of highlights
This took 2 hours to put the foils in
Left to develop for nearly an hour checking every 10-15 mins
Each foil is taken out individually & the lightener smudged down to freshen the ends
Rinsed with Redken range
Root toner applied followed by a gloss toner in a mix of ash & pink to keep the blonde bright
Processed for 20 mins
Rinsed & blowdried (lush bob not by me)
Total time 4 hours
Total cost £240
Refresh appt in 10-14 weeks
