Happy to report at the end of three years of study I am officially a Clinical Trichologist having passed my Level 5 qualification with The Institute of Trichology in London.

I passed with a distinction and a score of 94% and l look forward to all the opportunities this offers me in my career as I move forward. Many thanks to all at the I.O.T and to and the education team for all their support. I look forward to connecting with others with an interest in hair health and science.

I finally got my hands on the new Dyson hairdryer, the Supersonic R at Salon International last weekend. I have been using it all week. I will create an unboxing video and run through some of the technology. In short, it’s an amazing piece of kit and it makes a huge difference to the final result of blowdry on all different types of hair textures. From a Trichology viewpoint, I am impressed.

This lovely curly hair is a labour of love. Too much chlorine really destroyed its integrity. So much so, a very close crop was needed to rescue it. 6 months on and the regrowth process is going beautifully. The hair is strong, wonderfully curly and cut in shape to continue to grow in a long, wonderfully layered cut. The next cut will be in four months (you really can do that with curly hair without suffering from any trichoptilosis damage) and we should really see it grow much longer at this point.

I was involved with a wonderful wedding at the weekend. Lots of wedding hair for myself and makeup from my lovely friend . This bridesmaid has lots and LOTS of hair and wanted it up in a bun. Something a little more exciting than rope twists.
