When your cabin starts looking like this… it’s time to admit defeat 🔥🌡️

After a lot of thought, I’ve made the difficult decision to close the cabin tomorrow and reschedule all appointments due to the extreme heatwave.

Although I do have air conditioning, this little cabin simply isn’t designed to cope with temperatures pushing into the 30s. It’s not just about client comfort and safety, it’s about mine too. My clients are usually with me for a couple of hours before heading back into cooler environments, but I’m working in these conditions all day, every day.

The heat also affects the quality of the treatments I provide. Products aren’t performing as they should, equipment has to work overtime, and I never want to compromise on the standard of service you receive.

As much as I hate rearranging appointments and letting people down, I have to put health, safety, and treatment quality first.

Thank you for understanding, and I’ll be in touch with everyone affected to get you rebooked as soon as possible.

A little nail education during the UK heatwave…

Did you know that high temperatures can affect gel products before they even make it onto your nails?

When gel gets too warm, it becomes much thinner and runnier than normal. This makes it more difficult to control during application and increases the risk of flooding the cuticles if your nail tech isn’t extra careful.

To ensure your nails are applied safely and correctly, please be mindful that your appointment may take a little longer than usual. During hotter weather, nail techs often need to work more slowly, use smaller amounts of product, or make adjustments to their techniques to achieve the same high-quality results.

We’re not being dramatic when we talk about the heatwave, we’re working with products that are designed to perform within certain temperature ranges, and extreme temperatures can make a huge difference to how they behave.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we navigate the warmer weather. A little extra time and care now helps ensure the beautiful, long-lasting results you expect from your gel nails. 💅☀️
