With temperatures soaring across the UK, it’s important to remember that extreme heat can affect how your skin heals after aesthetic and beauty treatments.

🔥 Heat, sweating, UV exposure and dehydration can all increase the risk of complications and delay recovery.

Treatments that may be affected:

• Laser treatments
• Skin resurfacing & chemical peels
• Microneedling
• Injectables (anti-wrinkle treatments & dermal fillers)
• Semi-permanent makeup
• Facials and advanced skin treatments

What can go wrong?

❌ Increased swelling and inflammation
❌ Prolonged redness and sensitivity
❌ Hyperpigmentation (dark patches) following laser or resurfacing treatments
❌ Increased risk of infection due to excessive sweating and touching the skin
❌ Poor healing and delayed results
❌ Greater discomfort and irritation from sun exposure
❌ Bruising and swelling lasting longer than normal

How to reduce the risks:

✅ Stay well hydrated before and after treatment
✅ Avoid direct sun exposure and wear SPF daily
✅ Keep the skin cool and avoid excessive sweating where possible
✅ Avoid saunas, steam rooms, hot baths and vigorous exercise immediately after treatment
✅ Follow all aftercare advice carefully
✅ Wear loose clothing and avoid anything that may irritate treated areas

Our Advice ❤️

Your safety always comes first. If temperatures are exceptionally high, or if you know you won’t be able to avoid sun exposure or follow your aftercare properly, please don’t worry about postponing your appointment but please give us at least 24 hours notice!

✨ Results are worth waiting for, but complications are not.

If in doubt, be safe and rebook. We’d much rather see you at the right time than risk compromising your skin or your results.
