An elective lip filler dissolve is when someone chooses to have their lip filler removed for cosmetic reasons, such as reducing volume, correcting migration, or starting fresh.

The treatment uses Hyaluronidase, an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid filler.

It can take more than one session because:

* Filler may be layered from multiple treatments over time.
* Some areas dissolve more slowly than others.
* Swelling after treatment can make it difficult to assess the final result immediately.
* Practitioners often dissolve conservatively and reassess before giving more enzyme.

Needing multiple sessions is common and doesn’t necessarily mean anything has gone wrong. It is often the safest way to achieve the desired result.
