My client had her previous filler dissolved, giving us a fresh foundation to carefully rebuild her lips while working with her natural shape and anatomy.

At this stage, I had treated just ONE side of the top lip, leaving the other side completely untouched so you can see the difference precise filler placement can make.

You can already see the improvement in definition, shape and the vermilion border, without simply adding lots of volume.

The final photo shows both lips completed using just 1ml of Revolax Fine. The aim was beautifully defined, balanced lips that still looked soft and natural. 🤍

Sometimes achieving a better result isn’t about adding more filler. Sometimes we need to dissolve, reset and rebuild with intention.

And as always, I’ll never add filler simply for the sake of adding more. If I feel dissolving first will give you a safer, cleaner and more beautiful result, that’s the conversation we’ll have. 🫶🏻

LIP ENHANCEMENT | Vermilion Border 👄

Sometimes, the most beautiful lip enhancements come from refining the details rather than adding lots of volume.

The vermilion border is the natural outline of the lips. By carefully enhancing this area with small, precise amounts of filler, I can create a more defined Cupid’s bow, improve lip definition, and subtly enhance the shape, all while keeping the results soft, balanced and natural.

For this beautiful client, the goals were:

✨ A crisper vermilion border
✨ Added volume to the upper lip for better balance

Using 1ml of dermal filler and a combination of advanced techniques, we achieved a beautifully defined result without an overfilled appearance.

💉 Before any Hyaluronidase treatment to dissolve dermal filler, I will always perform an intradermal patch test, and here’s why 👇🏻

Hyaluronidase is the enzyme used to dissolve hyaluronic acid-based filler. Although adverse reactions are uncommon, an intradermal patch test helps identify any potential sensitivity before treatment can proceed.

The test involves placing a small amount of Hyaluronidase solution and bacteriostatic saline intradermally, before monitoring the area for any signs of irritation or reaction.

📸 The image shown is an example of a negative intradermal patch test result, meaning no signs of sensitivity or adverse reaction were observed at the test site.

While no test can completely eliminate risk, it is an important step in helping to ensure treatment is carried out as safely as possible.
