Growing older is compulsory, but how you do it is completely yours. You might want to stay totally natural, you might fancy a subtle tweak, or you might enjoy being beautifully maintained, or somewhere in between. Nobody else has to live in your skin, so nobody else gets a vote on what you do with it. I see people every week who have spent far too long worrying about looking “done” or about what someone else might say, and it is such a relief when they realise they can choose for themselves. My job is to listen properly, give you honest options, and keep things looking like you, just a little fresher if that is what you want. Sometimes the most useful part is simply talking it through out loud with someone who does this all day. If this is on your mind, message me or book a chat, I am very happy to be part of that conversation, with no pressure whatsoever.

What if the best result is the one nobody can put their finger on?
Sculptra is brilliant for that, because it does not add instant volume the minute you leave my room.
It works gradually, encouraging your skin to build its own collagen over a course of sessions, so the change creeps in quietly over the following months.
Most people love that there is no big reveal moment.
It also means fewer awkward questions at the school gate, which feels like a public service, frankly.
Instead, you tend to get, “Have you been away somewhere nice?” and I will happily take that kind of comment all day.
If you fancy being the one who is just looking well, message me and we can have a proper chat in consultation to see if Sculptra suits you.

Things that suddenly become enraging after 40. I will start with people speaking to me like I have not been paying attention for four decades. You have not become difficult, you have just collected enough life experience to spot unnecessary nonsense at twenty paces. I see the same shift in clinic, people stop apologising for having boundaries and start asking better questions, which I honestly love. It is also why I am very happy to say, if something does not feel right for your face, your budget, or your timetable, we will not do it. Age has a funny way of making your tolerance for faff disappear overnight. So tell me, what completely unreasonable thing now sends you over the edge. Comments are open, and if you want to chat through a plan that feels sensible and low drama, you know where I am.

Everyone asks me about results, and hardly anyone asks what happens after you walk out the door. After some treatments there is a little massage routine to do at home for a few days, and I will not pretend it is glamorous. It does matter though, because it can be the difference between a lovely smooth settle and feeling like things are a bit lumpy or uneven. I talk you through every step before you leave, and I will make sure you know exactly what to do and what is normal. If a question pops into your head later, you can message me and you will not be left googling at midnight with ten different answers. Most of my regulars will tell you the aftercare support is the bit that makes them feel properly looked after. If you want that kind of clinic experience, come and book in with me and we will do it properly from start to finish.

Do you ever catch yourself judging your skin against your 30th birthday photos. I see it all the time, and I have done it myself too. Your skin at 45 is not failing, it is just different, and it deserves a different kind of care. Things like collagen, hydration and elasticity shift, and your old routine can start feeling a bit pointless. For the right person, Sculptra can be a really helpful option, because it supports skin quality gradually over time rather than chasing an overnight rewind. I love it for people who want subtle, steady improvement that still looks like them, just a bit fresher. If you are wondering what would actually suit your skin as it is now, send me a message and we can have a proper chat about it.

Your body is absolutely unhinged, and I say that with real affection. Meanwhile your brain is running the whole operation while occasionally forgetting why you walked into the kitchen, which feels very on brand for being human in 2026. I spend my days watching bodies do the most dramatic things over the tiniest triggers, then somehow pull it all back together like nothing happened. The amount of behind the scenes work your skin is doing every minute is genuinely wild, even before we start asking it to heal, collagen up, and behave itself. If you have a friend whose body is clearly operating without senior management, please send them this and enjoy the chaos together. If you are the friend, same, I see you. If you are curious about what is actually going on with your skin and why it is acting the way it is, message me and I will talk you through it like a normal person.

Has your skin started taking longer to bounce back than you do after a night out? I see it all the time, that little softness around the jawline and cheeks that have drifted slightly south. It can feel like it came out of nowhere, even if you are looking after your skin properly. A lot of the time it is more about support than lines, and support changes quietly as the years go on. Sculptra is one of the options I often discuss here because it works with your skin’s own processes gradually, rather than giving you an overnight switch. It suits people who like subtle, steady improvement and do not want to look “done”. No miracles promised, just a sensible plan and a face that still looks like you. If you tell me what you are noticing, I will tell you honestly what I would suggest.
