Here is why šš¼
Malikure nails are all about balance and structure.
When a natural nail grows downwards, simply covering it with gel doesnāt correct the problem. We need to correct the architecture, not just cover it.
But removing the bulk underneath isnāt only about making the nail look slimmer and straighter.
Itās also about how that nail will behave as it grows.
Leave too much product underneath the free edge and, as the nail grows out, that bulk moves further away from the supported area of the nail. More weight at the end creates greater leverage if the nail is knocked or caught.
That can mean lifting or breakage ā and a bad break can take the natural nail plate with it. š¬
So we remove what isnāt needed, correct the downward growth and build the strength where the nail actually needs it.
The result? A nail that is straighter, slimmer, better balanced and structurally prepared for the weeks ahead.
Luxury isnāt more product. Itās precision, balance and intention. āØ
Donāt just cover the nail. Correct it.
Fix that nail shape! š
Clients donāt always have perfect nails. When their nails grow downwards, simply bulking them up with product wonāt create a long-lasting result.
You could potentially lose that client to a nail technician who knows how to correct the problem. But when you learn how to create the right structure, you build loyal clients who refuse to go anywhere elseāregardless of the price you charge.

why do you need to replace the missing nail corners? Overfilled nail corners can be easily fixed with the polygel. You just need to know and recognise where the corners are missing and where they need to be rebuilt.
Why do you need to replace the missing corners?
Because thatās where the strength of the nail comes from. It is the crucial part of the architecture of the strong enhancement that will last easily 4 to 5 weeks.
Some appointments are not even about the nails. Itās about connection, good chat and of course tea and biscuits š„°āļø
Of course we will be doing nails as well, but this is not main event of the whole appointment.
I provide cozy and comfortable environment to my clients and in return I get their friendship that in many cases lasts for years. I am so very blessed š
šØ GEL NAILS ARE NOT BANNED.
Despite some alarming and misleading headlines, gel manicures, builder gel and BIAB services have not been banned in UK
What has changed is the regulation of one specific ingredient: TPO, a photoinitiator found in some UV and LED gel products.
From 15 August 2026, newly manufactured or imported cosmetics containing TPO can no longer be placed on the Great Britain market. Products already legally on the market may continue to be supplied during the transition period until 14 February 2027.
So noāyour gel nail appointment has not suddenly become illegal.
However, this update does highlight why professional product knowledge matters. A responsible nail technician should know:
⢠Exactly which formulas they are using
⢠Where those products were purchased
⢠Which lamp and curing time the manufacturer requires
⢠How to prevent uncured product from touching the skin
⢠How to keep product and batch information traceable
A āTPO-freeā or āHEMA-freeā label does not automatically make a product allergy-proof. Safe professional practice still relies on controlled application, correct curing and compatible systems.
At Malikure, I donāt follow frightening headlines or social-media rumours. I check the regulations, verify my products and make informed professional decisions.
Gel nails are not banned. The industry is evolvingāand knowledgeable technicians evolve with it.
