What are erythema and histamine reactions? They are normal skin reactions to waxing. This is due to the wax being warm on the skin and ripping all the hair from the skin in a simultaneous motion. The skin's blood reaches the surface and creates the redness we therapists call erythema. A Histamine reaction is very blotchy and sore to touch. This is a reaction to the wax as it's made normally with bees wax which some people are hyper sensitive to. So it's important you take an antihistamine after to bring the redness and swelling down. It's important you understand that these are normal reactions to waxing and will go after a few hours. Make sure you shower and wash before the wax appointment as any heated treatments on the skin can cause infection after waxing. Here are some photos of how the skin changes colour and texture. 🤗😃🙏

When I am doing a massage, I really listen to what my clients need. I do different massages that work on different muscle groups. This diagram shows which different muscle groups will be worked on depending on the massage I do.
E.g. Superficial muscle groups are located in front of the intermediate and deeper muscle groups. I work mainly on these groups when I'm doing lighter massage techniques like aroma or lymph work.
Deep tissue and sports massage is used to help with painful areas and knots, so I will need to work on the intermediate and deeper muscle groups of the back.

It's important you know that each massage is unique to each person, and so when you book your massage, I do ask a series of questions so I know exactly how I can support you on the road to healing and rest time between massages.
