A little preparation before your appointment can make a huge difference. Better hair removal, less discomfort, fewer ingrown hairs, and happier skin all start with good pre-wax care.

Here are my top tips to help you get the most from your wax:

💎 Let the hair grow
For the wax to grip properly, your hair should be around the length of a grain of rice. If it’s too short, the wax won’t be able to remove it effectively.

💎 Exfoliate gently
A gentle exfoliation around 24 hours before your appointment helps remove dead skin cells and frees any trapped hairs, giving a cleaner result.

💎 Keep your skin hydrated
Well-moisturised skin tends to wax better. Moisturise regularly leading up to your appointment, but avoid applying creams, oils or lotions on the day of your wax.

💎 Step away from the razor
I know it’s tempting, but shaving between appointments can interfere with your waxing cycle. Regular waxing encourages softer, finer regrowth over time.

💎 Wear something comfortable
Loose-fitting clothing is especially important after intimate and body waxing to minimise friction and keep the skin comfortable.

💎 Avoid fake tan beforehand
Waxing can lift patches of self-tan, leaving an uneven finish, so it’s best to wait until after your appointment.

💎 Go easy on the caffeine
Believe it or not, caffeine can make some people feel a little more sensitive during their wax. If you’re nervous, swapping that extra coffee for water may help.

💎 Don’t be embarrassed
If it’s your first intimate wax, please don’t worry. I’ve seen it all before, and there is absolutely no judgement in my treatment room. My job is to make you feel comfortable, relaxed and confident.
