I get asked a lot about products. I get asked ‘what’s good for my hair’? And whilst some of that depends on hair type. There is something that applies to all products. And that is the ingredient list.

Most mainstream hair products contain petrochemicals. Mineral oil. Petrolatum. Silicones. PEGs. Ingredients that sit on the hair rather than feeding it, that build up over time, that make curls look managed rather than healthy.

Moving to Oway, Sophic and Innersense was a conscious decision. Every product on the shelf has earned its place. All formulated without a single one of them.

Lightened and grey curls hold colour differently in summer. Sun, heat, and product build-up shift the tone toward brass long before it’s visible day to day.

The Sophic Violet Cleanser corrects this without stripping moisture from the curl. Violet tone drawn from Butterfly Pea Flower, not synthetic dye, paired with Quandong and Kakadu Plum. Sulphate-free, alcohol-free. Hydrolysed Wheat Protein and Betaine support the hair shaft underneath the tone correction.

Relevant now, useful year-round. Available in studio.

The books stayed full from the first week to the last.

The camera roll filled just as fast, curls, colour, and the quiet moments in between.

Sophic joined the shelves this month and has been met with real love already.

The studio screen got a fresh coat of paint, a small change that’s made the whole space feel new again.

A new chair arrived, and it’s exactly as comfortable as it looks.

The Cornwall heat showed up properly, and so did the humidity, which curls always have an opinion about.

July is fully booked. August will have only a small number of appointments due to school holidays. The next full release will be for September.

A few from May and we are very nearly at the end of June.

My scissors are busy, my screen time less so.
