Hair myths….

There are some hair myths that drive me crazy every time I hear them, I am here to tell you they are just not true!

The next time you hear someone saying these things, you tell them the hair boutique told me….

• Cold water does not make your hair shiny! Cold water does close your cuticle a bit but not enough to make hair that is already dry or damaged look sleek and shiny.

• Cutting your hair will not make it grow! Where did they even come up with this?? Yes, cutting off split ends will keep your hair healthier and stop breakage, but a cut will not encourage growth.

• Short hair needs conditioner just the same as long hair! All hair needs conditioner to seal down the cuticle and protect your hair just as your skin needs moisturiser.

• Your hair will not “self-regulate” if you stop washing it! Your hair and scalp need regular cleansing just as any other part of your body to keep it healthy and clean.
