Most people are surprised when we tell them natural soap starts life as a blend of oils and butters like olive oil, coconut oil and shea butter.
It’s when we add lye, an alkaline solution, that a process called saponification begins (yes, that’s a real word), transforming the oils into soap.
From there, we add essential oils and natural colourants like turmeric to create our unique range of soap bars, while the base recipe remains largely the same.
Simple ingredients. Traditional methods. Proper soap 🤙🏼
