WE'VE MOVED!

As of Wednesday, I'll be working out of Afina's new location on Little Castle Street. It's a beautiful new salon and literally just around the corner from where we were.

From our original location, turn left towards the Wig and Pen and left again at the crossroads and you can't miss us!

I've been back for two days and already had £100 worth of people not turning up for appointments.
From now on, all missed appointments will be charged in full

If you're not here, I'm not chilling out and drinking coffee, I'm worrying about my income that you're affecting. Yeah support small businesses, don't actively damage them.

Due to an increased number of no shows and last minute cancellations I am now having to implement a cancellation fee.

Obviously certain instances such as illness and family situations can't be helped, but due to such a high number in the last few weeks I can't personally afford to let them slide anymore.

I hate having to do this, but I try to keep my services as affordable as possible and this is making it very difficult now.

After the reports today about reactions when using gel nail systems, I wanted to reassure my clients about what is going on and where these reactions are occuring.

They are a result of:

• Home kits with products containing unsafe levels of acrylates.
• Salons using products that are not EU and UK approved.
• Nail technicians mixing products and not applying correctly.
• Products not being properly set (cured) on the nails.

The products I use are well within UK and US manufacturing guidelines and are of high quality. I always keep on top of education and training to ensure these products are applied correctly.

I've been working in this industry for 28 years now and my client's nail health has always been my top priority and this will always be the case.
