While a warm bed is more comfortable, temperature and UV intensity operate independently.

The UV Spectrum:
Sunbed lamps typically emit a mix of ~95% UVA (long-wave, deep tanning) and ~5% UVB (medium-wave, pigment production).

Temperature Inside the Bed
Comfort Levels: Sunbeds generally operate at a controlled ambient temperature of 20 to 30°C (using built-in climate control and cooling fans).

The Heat Myth: The common assumption that a "hotter sunbed means a better tan" is incorrect. The warmth you feel is generated by infrared light rather than tanning UV rays.

Why Cooling Matters: Overheating causes sweating, which can reflect or dilute UV rays and result in an uneven tan. Cooler sunbeds generally facilitate better airflow and even tanning results.
