Dental Hygienists are a vital part of maintaining oral health. They are experts at helping you take the best care of your gums and supporting structures that provide the foundation for your teeth.
Gum disease is preventable, and our lovely Hygienists can show you the best and most effective way to do this. They will also treat gum disease and advise you on ways to stop disease progression. This is so important to not only your oral health but your general health as well.
Oral bacteria which is present in the plaque, which builds up on the tooth surface, has implications with many systemic diseases, so a visit to see your hygienist is more than just a clean. They will also perform screening on the whole mouth to check for anything unusual, including mouth cancer.
They will recommend the best tools specifically for you to ensure you can achieve the best results yourself. They will remove any plaque or calculus (tartar) and can remove staining to leave your mouth feeling clean and fresh.
A visit to you Hygienist is just as important as a check-up with your Dentist, and generally should be done every 6 months.
We have appointments to offer with two fantastic Hygienists at our practice, Lisa and Sue. 🦷✨
Please give the reception team a call on 01892 528048 if you would like to arrange a visit.
We apologise in advance that the telephone lines are currently very busy, however if you unable to get through straight away please leave a message, we promise to get back to you.

If you are still doubtful about seeing your hygienist (me..obviously) then this should make your mind up....covid patients with gum disease are more likely to have complications, need ventilation and have a higher mortality rate.
Gum disease in its early stages is COMPLETELY reversible. Make an appointment 😁🦷😷. Pm me of you have any questions

If you are hesitant about having your usual hygienist appointment, don't be. You're safer in the dental environment than in the supermarket.
We are rather good and cross infection control...we've been wearing masks and gloves for years.. we know how to clean and we understand viral transmission.
We all want to come through this healthy and it will be better to also have your teeth, so keep your appointment. And remember the hygienist doesn't just clean, we check for oral abnormalities including cancer screening 😁😷
You don't need to be registered at my practice to see me, pm if you have any questions

Sooooo.... For all my patients desperate for an appointment I will be back to take care of your gorgeous gums and general oral health in September.
It's been 6 months and things will be a bit different from now on, I am limited to what equipment I can use.
But the end result will still be the same.
Looking forward to seeing you all soon 😁😷
