I had to cover up some old red pigment (previous treatment not by me). Ideally would have liked more fading or a session of laser to zap away what remained and start again but these strokes came out crispy and refreshed in time for the wedding 💒

Clients makeup vs. A lil bit of Rachael magic ♥️ loved this set of brows. We opted for a shaded brow to give a good definition of the brow edges and shape (without being overpowering) and matched it beautifully to the client’s hair colour

Who said a shaded brow had to be blocky and unnatural?!

Hairstrokes or Microblading tends to be the most requested permanent makeup technique for the eyebrows as it’s thought to look the most natural but there’s other factors that I would take into consideration for choosing your style of brow.

1. Your skin type - hairstrokes tend to blur over time and not stay as crisp as they once were, in oilier skin types
2. You’re used to wearing brow pencil every day - a shaded brow will mimic pencil and give you that colour coverage

This lovely lady has both an oilier skin type and used brow pencil often so we opted for a soft shaded brow and we are loving the results. As always in my treatments, a significant amount of time was spent getting the shape right in pencil first. This one was a little tricky as you can see in the photo that one brow is higher than the other but we got there in the end 😀 the new shape includes lengthening at the tails and a slight arch for a lift to frame the eyes beautifully. The colour match is 👌🏼 thank you again

Hey friends life has been a bit more than hectic lately which I’ll post about soon but for now let’s catch up on some transformations!

Sometimes I do my pre-draw (middle photo) like this in pencil. It looks filled in and it helps me to visualise the new brow shape. If you’re having a shaded brow it will look close to that. But if you’re having hairstrokes tattooed it will look like the bottom photo ☺️
