Love makes room… Understanding and patience make a family.

Dachshund owners don’t tend to stop at one.

Once hooked we find we have so much more love to give to this wonderful breed.

We imagine they’ll become best friends overnight.

But dogs are individuals, just like we are. Trust takes time. Relationships take patience. And while they’re learning to become a family, a little extra reassurance can make all the difference.

When one of our customers in told us about introducing her rescue Dachshund to her existing dog, our hearts went out to her. She didn’t need a miracle. She just needed a little more confidence while they found their feet together.

So we created this bespoke Wondercoat with an integrated grab handle—allowing calm, gentle intervention if emotions ran a little too high as they got to know each other.

Hopefully it won’t be needed at all.

But for now, it’s simply there to help two dogs—and the person who loves them both—feel a little safer.

Because that’s what good design should do…

Not just solve problems.

The joy of Wondercoat Studio is that you never have to choose between beautiful and functional.

Every Studio harness is crafted from the very same Dachshund-specific master patterns as our core collection.

Only the fabric tells a different story.

My designs only ever start with my Dachshunds.

Their bodies, their proportions, their needs.

Every garment designed by obsession. Sketched, cut, fitted, adjusted and tested — on the incredible dogs we’re designing for.

For Dachshunds ‘small dog’ just doesn’t cut it.

This is how we do things differently at Wondercoat.

Asked to recreate an old design, we had to say… NO.

But we would recreate the same beautiful look… just integrate every upgrade we’ve incorporated over the years since the original was made to create an even stronger, more comfortable and overall superior version.

Over the years we’ve quietly refined every detail: softer, moisture-wicking linings, more durable outer fabrics, seamless armholes for even greater comfort, and, in this case, a gentler fastening chosen especially for an IVDD survivor.

The look is the same. The craftsmanship and quality is better.
