On Saturday 25th April, my father, John passed away. He'd fought to recover from various injuries for the last 18 months after a very serious road traffic accident and would not give up(escaped from 2 rehabilitation clinics and various times from Queens and King Georges!).
Dad had worked at Look Ahead through the better part of his life and even when he sold the shop to me, still came in and helped out, much to the amusement of the clients.
His attitude towards looking after family will be something ill aways hold dear and shall miss immensely, his concern for us was heartfelt. This concern for others was evident in his stay at hospital when he would often ask how the salon was going and various clients he remembered with fondness.
Thank you for all you did for us and helping whenever(even in his retired years helping me to dig out foundations in the middle of winter) or wherever was needed.
Dad had also been fighting prostate cancer in this time and winning. He did not want a fuss or wake as such but did request that a page to be set up for donations to prostate cancer, please don't feel obliged but the details are below if you would like to.
