The Beauty Lounge - Urmston

It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing to you all that from now I will be taking a break from providing treatments through the beauty lounge to focus on 2 very important things.

1. My mental and physical health and creating a healthy life style that reduces regular flare ups for me.

2. Creating an online training course jam packed with all of the regularly missed important info for becoming a successful business owner within the beauty industry. (This journey has been incredible for me and my family. We have benefitted so much from having the freedom and flexibility of being self employed. Knowing I can now have an impact on creating that for others brings me so much joy).

I haven’t come to this decision lightly and have tried so hard to manage my symptoms to continue providing high quality treatments for you guys along side the medical madness, but it is unfortunately not possible for me to sustain this job role any longer.

I hope you all understand where this has come from and for anyone struggling with endometriosis or fibromyalgia - Be kind and patient with yourself ❤️

If you are an existing client please do not panic. I am not going anywhere just yet. I have lots of work to still do behind the scenes before reducing my lash tech hours so you do not need to worry. I will continue being a dedicated lash technician along side this new chapter as after all, I can’t get through life without my fortnightly catch ups with you guys 🖤

I’m not just your lash tech. I’m your therapy session, your peace from the chaos, your sneaky nap time, your friend, your supporter your cheerleader, your time to let go and belly laugh. Use your appointment time however you need to. Pick your music, maybe you want sounds of the sea instead or a silent appointment. If so ask for a lip mask for a silent, no chit chat app 😘

Understanding your lash cycle helps understand retention changes.

If you are a regular client I can visibly see the lash cycle when I have you in for your infills. As most of you know, I let you know if I feel you are about to have a big shed or if you have just had one, and everything inbetween 🫣 I’m a lash geek!

I can tell the difference between a lash that has shed and a lash that has been pulled out guys 🤣🤪

If a lot of your lashes are in the anagen or telogen stage, you may hear me advise we go a little lighter on your infill to reduce weighing down them cute new little lashes or pushing your telogens to prematurely shed.

If a lash is applied that is too heavy for your natural eyelash, two things can happen.
1) The lash will not last and fall off.
2) The natural eyelash will shed sooner than expected.
- Both leaving you with lash loss.

Please take my advice if I recommend a lighter lash lining it will keep your lashes nice and healthy 🖤

It’s official, I am finally working from the cabin and will now only be salon based on a Friday.

Considering lash extensions but never sure what to ask for?

So many client have expressed they held off getting extensions because of the fear of them not looking how they imagined.

This should never be the case when paying for a treatment. If you are unsure, please get in touch for a client consultation. It takes the anxiety out of leaving your appointment disappointed.

Dark brown by VLK creates a more subtle lash line whilst still allowing the lashes to pop and stand out.

For any client coming in for any treatment, I want you to know that it’s ok to ask for a silent treatment. You don’t have to explain to me why.

I talk a lot so you have to tell me to button it or you’ll know what I had for dinner last night, what I’m having tonight and what’s on the agenda for the follow night along with all my life ongoings because I am the definition of an open book!

However with saying this, I understand some people like to keep themselves to themselves and I welcome that as much as I do a good old chatty therapy session.

It’s your treatment, it’s your time, it’s your choice to spend it how you wish.

I have lip masks available for anyone who’s just wanting to fully relax and take their treatment time for them and their thoughts. Please just ask for a lip mask and I’ll know what this means ❤️

Please take a moment during mental health awareness week to check in with a friend or family member who may have distanced themselves recently. - It is proven that a simple check in can significantly reduce the risks of a mental health spiral.

Oil based products affects our eyelash retention.

Tip - If you are using a spray oil or SPF, do not spray directly onto your face. Spray your product onto your hands and apply carefully to your face avoiding your eyelash extension’s.

‼️Please do not avoid SPF to protect your lash retention. If you apply SPF correctly you’ll be r**t! 😘

Rehydrating our brow hair is super important after a brow lam treatment. However please do not apply oil to your brows before a cheeky sunbath in the garden! We don’t want any burnt faces 🙈
