Painting progression of my HP Lovecraft bust from straight out the mould to completion!

This was my first time attempting hyper-realism and I had a lot of fun learning silicone painting techniques using oil paints to pigment the silicone mixture. This project was great for understanding colour theory and how to use alternative colours to counter act if you’ve gone a bit to heavy with one colour.

My go to storage system for solvents and bondos whilst on set, easy to transport and fits perfectly at the bottom of your makeup bag for any sudden changes allowing you to add a few extra wounds on the spot without having to travel back to the makeup room!

Had a lot of fun on this project as Makeup designer and solo mua, lots of blood, prosthetics and vampires!
The most fun part after a stressful and hard shoot was walking around in a circle spraying blood in peoples face one by one, no better way to relax from a long day🧛‍♀️

Sorting out my old photos when I stumbled on my first attempt at hyper realism! I chose to create a bust of H.P Lovecraft carrying out the entire fabrication process myself from sculpting, painting and hair punching,which was a lot of first times for me and a milestone for stepping out of my comfort zone!
