MenB can cause serious illnesses like meningitis and septicaemia.

You may be eligible if you are:
✅ 17 to 18 years old and born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008
✅ Under 25 and starting university or moving into residential further education for the first time

Eligible 17 to 18-year-olds born between these dates can book online if they’re registered with a GP in England. Eligible under-25s can get vaccinated at a participating pharmacy – no GP registration is needed.

You'll need 2 doses, given at least 4 weeks apart, for the best protection.

How to Book an Appointment Online Booking: Use the NHS MenB Booking Service if you are 17–18 registered with a GP.

Pharmacies: Visit a participating high street community pharmacy if you are an incoming university fresher.

By Phone: Call 119 free of charge to book over the phone.

Doses: Two doses are required, spaced at least 4 weeks apart, and should ideally be completed before the autumn term

A time-limited, one-off NHS Meningitis B vaccination campaign is running across the UK for about one million young people, offering two doses of the vaccine through GPs and participating pharmacies. The rollout targets Year 13/S6 school leavers and under-25s starting university or residential further education. Please contact the pharmacy for details. We have vaccines available.
