Lately I’ve realised that not every season of life is about having a plan.

Sometimes it’s about admitting that something doesn’t feel right anymore.

I love helping people. I love creating resources that genuinely make a difference. I love seeing Headstrong slowly become something I’m proud of.

But I’m also a mum. I have bills, responsibilities, doubts, and days where I wonder if I’m making the right decisions.

This carousel isn’t about having the answers. It’s about being honest enough to say, “I’m figuring it out.”

If you’ve ever felt like you’re outgrowing your current chapter but don’t quite know what comes next… you’re not alone.

Here’s to trusting ourselves enough to keep moving anyway.

Anxiety is one of the most common human experiences, yet it is often misunderstood.

It can show up as racing thoughts, tension in the chest, difficulty sleeping, irritability, avoidance, overworking, or a constant sense of being “on edge.”

For some people it is loud and disruptive. For others it hides behind competence, productivity, and capability. You may function well on the outside while feeling unsettled underneath.

This workbook does not approach anxiety as a flaw to eliminate.

Instead, it approaches anxiety as a nervous system response.
Your brain and body are designed to protect you. When something feels uncertain, threatening, or overwhelming, whether physically or emotionally, your nervous system activates. That activation is not weakness. It is protection. The difficulty arises when that protection
becomes overactive.

It’s not glamorous 😂 building a business while working full-time, raising two kids who have full time hobbies, studying, writing workbooks, filming content, doubting yourself… then getting up and doing it all again the next day.

Success isn’t one big moment. It’s showing up on the days you don’t feel like it. It’s choosing purpose over comfort, over and over again.

Watching people buy my workbook, message me saying it’s helped them, join my programmes, and trust me with their emotional wellbeing is something I’ll never take for granted. Every client, every order, every enquiry reminds me why I started.

I’m still building. I’m still learning. I’m still balancing work, motherhood, and chasing a vision that once only existed in my head.

Nothing happened overnight.

It was built through consistency, resilience, and refusing to give up on something I believed could make a difference.

If you’re in the messy middle, keep going. The small steps you’re taking today are laying the foundations for the life you’re trying to build. I’m nowhere near where I want to be yet, but I’m definitely not where I started.

Slow progress is still progress… and I’ll back myself every single time 🤍

Anxiety booklet to go live in July. Thank you to the 6 people who offered to pilot this for me xx

You weren’t born overthinking.

You weren’t born people pleasing.

You weren’t born constantly expecting the worst.

These are often behaviours your brain developed to help you survive difficult experiences.

Your nervous system is incredibly clever.

If it learnt that the world was unpredictable, critical or unsafe, it adapted.

It became hypervigilant.
It scanned for danger.
It tried to stay one step ahead.

The problem?

Those same strategies that once protected you can become exhausting when the danger has passed.

The encouraging part is this…

The brain remains capable of change throughout life.

With the right support, repeated experiences of safety and intentional practice, your brain can begin creating new pathways.

Healing isn’t about becoming someone different.

It’s about helping your nervous system realise it doesn’t have to survive every moment anymore.

Save this if you need the reminder.
Share it with someone who’s been too hard on themselves.

What survival response do you recognise most in yourself: fight, flight, freeze or fawn? I know I spent a long time flitting between fight and fawn 😅

If your ready to explore and understand your emotions …

The older I get, the more 1 realise rest isn’t something we should have to earn.

I used to think slowing down meant I wasn’t doing enough. You can love your job, family, friends and life but still need moments where you escape the chaos and create some calm.

It’s in the quiet moments that my mind becomes clearer, my body softens and I remember who I am outside of work, responsibilities and the constant pressure to keep going.

My check in scores are a lot calmer this week😂😂

I nearly talked myself out of this trip.

The thought of travelling alone with two children felt overwhelming. The responsibility felt huge, and the anxiety was loud.

But I’ve learnt something the things that bring us the most peace are often the things we nearly don’t do.

This week wasn’t about chasing the perfect holiday. It was about slowing down, laughing more, making memories, and giving all three of us the rest and reset we desperately needed.

To every lone parent wondering whether to book the trip… this is your sign.

Your children won’t remember whether everything went perfectly.

They’ll remember that you went.
