Ossett family fundraising to buy life-sized bear dedicated to son The sculpture is dedicated to Freddie McDonald who has a multi-organ disease.

Get Freddie’s bear!

The bear hunt has been a summer initiative around Leeds with 35 bear sculptures scattered around the city, encouraging families to get outdoors and find the bears. It’s been in conjunction with the Leeds children’s hospital and each bear has had a child’s story attached.

Emma McDonald is a senior manager at mint and has with with the business for 25years.

One of the bears was dedicated to Emma’s son Freddie, who has been under the care of the hospital since being diagnosed with alagille syndrome at only 6months old.

Emma and her family have raised over £120,000 for the charities that have supported them throughout Freddie’s life.
