A very challenging hair extension transformation 🤍

This was one of those cases where the hair needed much more than just a simple removal and refit.

My client had been struggling with her hair for a long time and unfortunately her previous extensions had been left in for around 2 years, becoming extremely tangled and matted.

The extensions and natural hair had formed one very large, dense knot, so there was no way to safely brush it out or remove the extensions normally. Some of the old extensions had to be carefully cut out to prevent causing further damage to the natural hair.

We removed as much of the damaged and matted hair as we safely could, assessed what was left, and worked with the natural hair that was still healthy enough for extensions.

I was honestly so happy with the result because, despite how difficult the starting point was, we were able to give her a beautiful new set of keratin extensions and a completely different look🥹✨

And the best part? Seeing her face when she finally saw her new hair. ❤️

She left feeling beautiful, confident and so happy, and honestly, that is one of my favourite parts of what I do 🥰

Please remember that hair extensions need regular maintenance and daily care. Leaving extensions in for too long, especially without properly brushing and separating the bonds, can lead to severe matting and can put unnecessary stress on the natural hair.
