💕 A LITTLE BOOKING REMINDER FOR MY COLOUR CLIENTS 💕

I've noticed a few colour appointments being booked without the finishing service being added, so here's a quick guide to make sure your appointment is booked correctly. ✨

When booking your colour appointment through Booksy:

1️⃣ Select your colour service

2️⃣ Scroll down and click “+ Service”

3️⃣ Select your finishing service
✂️ Cut & Finish
💨 Blow-Dry/Finish
—or whichever finishing service you require.

4️⃣ Before confirming your appointment, please check that BOTH services are showing in your booking.

Your appointment time is booked based on the colour + finishing service, so it's really important that both are selected. 😊

If you've never had a colour with me before, please remember to book your New Client Consultation & Skin Test first. This needs to be completed at least 3 days before your colour appointment.

New Hair Colour Pricing Format

✨ A NEW WAY OF PRICING YOUR COLOUR ✨

I’m introducing a new pricing format to my colour services to make sure every appointment is priced fairly according to the length, thickness and amount of product required for your hair.

As we all know, no two heads of hair are the same! 🤍

Some clients have fine, short hair, while others have longer, thicker or very full hair which naturally requires more product, more time and more work.

From now on, my colour pricing will take these differences into account, with additional pricing where required for:

✨ Hair length
✨ Hair thickness/density
✨ Additional product
✨ Additional time

This will allow me to give you a more accurate price for your individual service while ensuring I can continue to use the correct amount of product and give your hair the time and attention it deserves.

Please note: I will always discuss any additional charges with you before proceeding if your hair requires extra time or product.

Why Your Starting Hair Color Dictates Your Entire Result

Let's stop scrolling through Pinterest and expecting a miracle that violates the laws of hair chemistry. If your hair is a natural jet-black, you will never look like a pale platinum blonde inspiration photo. It is physically impossible to seamlessly melt black directly into white-blonde without it looking like a stripey, harsh zebra pattern.

Look at this transformation to see what reality actually looks like:

Second photo :The starting point. A harsh line of dark roots, a brassy orange mid-band, and fragile ends.

First photo: The dream inspiration picture of a bright, cool level ten champagne blonde.

Third photo: The actual realistic finishing point. A relistic transition into a , dimensional caramel-latte tone.

To get a blend this smooth out of a dark base, a stylist cannot just put in standard highlights. It requires a complex combination of advanced techniques like teasylights, babylights, and multi-zone root smudging. Dark hair must use a bridge of intermediate tones like warm caramels and rich brondes to blend into a dark root. If you refuse warmth and depth, a soft blend cannot exist.

Attempting to force jet-black hair to an icy blonde in one session results in severe chemical damage and a haircut you did not ask for. Safe blonding on a dark base is a luxury investment that takes multiple separate, careful sessions to build safely.

I threw out the impossible platinum photo and focused on what her hair could safely achieve in one high light appointment. We protected the health of her hair, obliterated the harsh lines, and created , blended tone that actually works with her natural base.

Stop choosing inspiration photos based on a fantasy. Look for models who match your actual starting canvas, and trust your stylist to prioritize the health of your hair over an impossible picture.
