It’s not just about the treatment itself.

It’s about understanding your body, feeling comfortable and knowing you’re in safe hands.

That’s what I want for every client who walks through my door.

Whether you’re struggling with tight muscles from work, training hard or dealing with aches that just won’t shift, you deserve more than a quick rubdown.

“I’m working away all the time, so there’s no point booking.”

Actually, that might be exactly why you should.

Whether you’re driving an HGV, working on sites or travelling with work, I get it. Finding time for yourself isn’t easy.

But that shoulder still hurts. Your back still gets stiff. Your feet still ache after a long day.
And the longer you put it off, the more you adapt around the problem.

I see this all the time with people in physically demanding jobs.

You’re not short of motivation.

You’re short of time.

You don’t need a perfect schedule.

You need a plan that works around your life, with treatment and simple things you can do yourself while you’re away.

Stop waiting for the perfect time.

Message INFO and I’ll send you the details.

HE’S TRIED THE LOT… SO WHY DOES HIS UPPER BACK STILL HURT? 👀

Physio. Different types of massage. Stretching. Acupuncture. Strength exercises.

This client has tried plenty of things to get on top of his persistent upper back pain.

Yet the problem keeps coming back.

One thing he told me during his assessment was that he struggled to retract his shoulders comfortably, particularly during long 90km cycling rides.

When you’re spending hours on the bike, your upper back and shoulders play an important role in maintaining your riding position. If movement becomes uncomfortable, it can make those long rides even more challenging.

So rather than just concentrating on the painful area, I wanted to look at his movement and how his upper back and surrounding tissues were behaving.

📸 These pictures show before and after his Kinetic Therapy treatment.

The redness you can see afterwards is a temporary skin response to the treatment, not proof that a problem has been fixed. What matters is how the client feels and how he moves, both immediately afterwards and over time.

When pain keeps returning, it’s worth asking more questions.

How is the area moving? What aggravates it? What eases it? And what happens when we look beyond the exact spot that hurts?

Pain isn’t always as straightforward as it seems.

At Body Flex Kinetic Therapies, we take the time to understand the person, their symptoms and what they want to get back to doing.

Because the goal isn’t simply to work on a painful back. It’s to help you understand it better.

If you’re training hard but barely drinking water, this could be holding your recovery back.

You don’t need another fancy recovery product.
Sometimes…

You just need to drink more water.

Your muscles are made up largely of water, and hydration plays a role in how your body transports nutrients, regulates temperature and supports normal muscle function.

Think about what happens when you’re dehydrated.
You train.
You sweat.
You lose fluid and electrolytes.
Then you expect your body to recover properly afterwards.

Not ideal.

And this is something I see with people from all walks of life.
Builders.
HGV drivers.
Rugby players.
Thai boxers.

People working long shifts who suddenly realise they’ve had two coffees and barely any water all day.

Your body needs the basics before you start worrying about the fancy stuff.
Water.
Food.
Protein.
Carbohydrates.
Micronutrients.
Then we can talk about everything else.

So here’s your challenge today…

Look at how much you’ve actually drunk, not how much you think you’ve drunk.

How are you doing?

There’s a side of me you don’t see mich.

Most of what I post is treatment, Kinetic Therapy, and helping people with their pain.

But when I finish work, I want to switch off, spend time with family, get out of the house and enjoy life.

Because running a business can easily become your whole life.

Another post. Another video. Another job to do.

Before you know it, you’ve been busy all day but haven’t actually stopped.

And that’s something I remind myself of.

Work is important to me, but so is the life I’m working for.

It’s the same reason I care about helping my clients.

Whether you’re a builder, an HGV driver, a runner or someone who trains Muay Thai, you’ve got a life outside of your aches and pains.

You’ve got people you want to spend time with and things you want to do.

I want Body Flex to be about helping you get back to those things, not just treating the area that hurts.

Because life is about more than work and getting through the day.

When was the last time you put everything else aside and spent proper time with the people who matter most?

Sometimes, it’s the simplest things that make the biggest difference.

BACK IN THE GYM, LIFTING WEIGHTS AGAIN! 💪

When a bad back starts affecting your gym routine, it’s frustrating. Especially when you can’t do the things you enjoy.

This client has been to see me a few times now, struggling with his back and finding it difficult to train as normal.

Now? He’s lifting weights again, something he hadn’t been able to do for a while!

His words say it all. The treatment can be painful, but for him, the benefits have been worth it.

Remember, the aim isn’t to chase pain. It’s about understanding what’s going on, working with your body and helping you get back to doing what you love.

Whether you’re a gym-goer, a tradesman or someone in Warrington who’s fed up with their back holding them back, let’s see what we can do to help.

Is your back stopping you from training? Drop me a message and let’s get you moving in the right direction.

“Can you turn my tinnitus down?”

This was a client I was genuinely excited to work with.

He came in with tinnitus and wanted to see if reducing some of the tension around his neck, shoulders and upper back could help, particularly with getting to sleep.

I loved taking this one on because it reminded me of where I started, looking at the body as a whole and asking, “What else could be contributing?”

About 10 minutes in, I’d only worked on some of his back when he said:

“My shoulders already feel less tense.”

Around 30 minutes in, he said his ears felt like they had popped.

Then, around 40 minutes in, we turned the music and fan off.

He looked at me and said:

“It’s turned down.”

When he started speaking, he actually thought he was shouting because the tinnitus had reduced enough for him to notice the difference.

Now, this doesn’t mean massage or Kinetic Therapy can treat tinnitus, and we’re not claiming that tension was definitely the cause.

He has already had his ears checked and they were clear, and he has an ENT appointment coming up to investigate things further.

But it was a fascinating session and a great reminder that sometimes the area causing the problem isn’t necessarily the area that needs treating.

We worked with the tension and movement through his back, shoulders and neck, rather than simply chasing the symptom.

And the change he experienced was something he noticed himself.

Sometimes the body gives you some pretty interesting feedback.

One side. Pain. Reduced sensation. Reduced movement.

This guy came to see me because it was affecting pretty much everything.

Driving.
Motorcycling.
Training.
Sleeping.

During his Kinetic Therapy session, something really interesting happened.

While I was working around his IT band, he described feeling like I was going over “some sort of ball”.

Then, while working around his LCL, he could actually feel the treatment on the opposite side of his knee, around the MCL.

Those sensations gave me useful feedback about what he was experiencing during the treatment and helped guide how I worked through the area.

But the real test?

What happened afterwards.

He was driving without pain.
Motorcycling without pain.
Back in the gym without pain.
And, most importantly, sleeping without pain.

That’s why I love what I do.

It’s not about simply working on the place that hurts.

It’s about understanding what’s going on, listening to what the body is telling us during treatment, and seeing whether we can improve how someone moves and feels.

Another person getting back to doing the things they enjoy.

That’s the bit that matters.

What actually happens when I use Kinetic Therapy?

You might see the British 304 surgical steel tool moving across the skin and think…
“What is that actually doing?”

It’s not just scraping the skin.

Kinetic Therapy uses specialist surgical steel tools to work through the soft tissues, helping create mechanical stimulation to the area being treated.

That can increase local circulation and bring changes to the tissues underneath.

And the technique itself comes from an ancient Chinese practice known as Gua Sha.

But the way I use it is very different from the traditional use of Gua Sha.

I’m looking at the body from a sports massage and movement perspective.
Where is the restriction?
What tissues could be contributing?
And how does that area fit into everything else?

That’s why I’m not always working directly where you feel the pain.

Your hamstring might be tight because something else isn’t moving properly.

Your shoulder might not be the whole story.

Your calf might be taking more load than it should.

That’s where the assessment matters.

So next time you see the surgical steel tool moving across someone’s back, you’ll know there’s more going on than just “scraping.”

If you’ve been curious about Kinetic Therapy but never tried it, send me a message with the word INFO and I’ll explain how it could work for you.

04/10/2026

The best part of what I do isn’t the technique.

It’s seeing someone’s face when they realise their body can actually feel different.

“I can move again.”

“I’ve finally slept properly.”

“My shoulder isn’t constantly bothering me.”

“My back isn’t controlling everything I do.”

Because pain isn’t just physical.

It can affect your mood, your patience, your confidence and even the things you choose to do each day.

And most people I see have already tried things.

They’ve rested.
They’ve stretched.
They’ve trained around it.
They’ve just carried on and hoped it would settle.

They’re not lazy.

They’re fed up.

So when someone walks out moving better, with a noticeable improvement in their range of movement, and starts believing their body can improve again…

That’s the win for me.

That’s why I do this.

Not just to work on where it hurts, but to help people get back to doing the things they enjoy.

So, if pain wasn’t holding you back, what would you do more of?
