Which skin lesions can be removed with electrocautery?

Electrocautery is a precise treatment that can be used to reduce or remove a number of suitable benign skin lesions, including skin tags, cherry angiomas, seborrhoeic keratoses, milia, sebaceous hyperplasia and some benign moles.

At SkinGenius, we always assess the lesion first to make sure electrocautery is appropriate and that there are no features that need further investigation.

The treatment works by using controlled heat to target the lesion with precision, making it a useful option for certain raised, vascular or superficial skin concerns.

Not every skin lesion should be treated in the same way, which is why consultation and correct identification always come first.
