Controlled cooling to aid recovery following surgery/injury & prevent chemotherapy side effect CIPN
Hilotherapy has devices available for use in hospital or at home. The treatment using temperature controlled water that is pumped through a fitted cuff/mask to cool the area requiring treatment. It is highly effective at reducing pain, swelling and bruising following surgery or injury. It is also very effective at relieving pain and restricted movement caused by arthritis. Devices are available for rental and purchase with cuffs available for various parts of the face and body.

A recent study involving 240 patients compared our Hilotherm temperature-controlled cryotherapy system with conventional ice-pack therapy following maxillofacial trauma surgery.
The findings showed that patients using the Hilotherm system experienced:
❄️ Lower pain during the first 48 hours after surgery
❄️ Reduced facial swelling on Day 2
💙 Greater comfort, better treatment tolerance and higher overall satisfaction
