This does NOT affect Beauty appointments with Shelley, they will still go ahead as normal but a locked door policy will be in place whilst she’s in treatment- if you have an appointment please be patient until she’s able to open the door for your scheduled appointment.

As part of our new booking policy, some clients will receive a secure payment link via text message to pay their booking fee.

The link will come through as Hair By SLN (my registered trading name) and is processed securely through SumUp.

I’ve attached a screenshot below so you know exactly what to look out for. ✅

🥵 A Little Heatwave Notice 🥵

Just a little heads up while we’re enjoying this gorgeous weather! ☀️

The salon is getting extremely warm at the moment. With hairdryers, straighteners and the sun beaming through our large shop windows all day, we’re doing everything we can to keep the salon cool, but it’s proving almost impossible. The heat has really taken its toll on me today, so if I’m not quite my usual self tomorrow, please bear with me! 😅

The high temperatures can also affect our services. Hair colour can develop much quicker than normal, meaning timings may need to be adjusted throughout your appointment to achieve the best possible results. Because of this, some appointments may run slightly over their allocated time.

If you’re visiting us over the next few days, we’d recommend wearing light, cool clothing where possible. We’ll have plenty of cold refreshments available to help keep everyone comfortable. 🧊🥤

📢 A Little Update Regarding Appointments & Cancellations

Firstly, I’d like to thank every single one of you who supports my little business. Your loyalty means more than you’ll ever know. ❤️
Unfortunately, over recent weeks I’ve experienced several last-minute cancellations, some leaving large gaps in my diary that simply can’t be filled at such short notice. As I’m self-employed, this doesn’t just mean an empty chair – it means lost income that I rely on to not only pay my own bills but to keep the salon running. The salon’s overheads still have to be paid whether I’m working or not.

I completely understand that life happens, and sometimes cancellations genuinely can’t be avoided. This isn’t aimed at those situations or intended to upset anyone.

However, to protect my business going forward, I’ll be introducing the following booking policy for all hair colouring appointments:
✨ A booking fee of up to 50% will be required to secure your appointment.
• If you need to rearrange your appointment with more than 48 hours’ notice, your booking fee will simply be transferred to your new appointment.
• If your appointment is cancelled within 48 hours, your booking fee will be forfeited.
• Same-day cancellations will be charged 100% of the appointment cost.
• Clients with repeated last-minute cancellations may be asked to pay for future appointments in full when booking.

Please also note that appointments are not confirmed until any requested booking fee has been received. Unfortunately, if a booking fee hasn’t been paid, I won’t be able to hold or honour that appointment.

I know this may not be welcomed by everyone, but this decision isn’t personal. It’s about protecting my livelihood and ensuring I can continue providing the service and availability that my wonderful clients deserve. Like many appointment-based businesses, including dentists, clinics and other salons, cancellation policies are necessary to keep the business sustainable.

Yesterday’s marathon transformation 😅 pictures never do any justice 🙉 we went from years of dark and red dyes to a stunning mixture of caramel and biscuit toned blonde throughout a more natural softer brown for that perfect blend! Warmer blondes are effortlessly gorgeous 😍. All created using colours
