One of the reasons people have such different experiences with lip filler is surprisingly simple...
Not everyone's lips start off symmetrical.
If both sides are treated exactly the same without first assessing the natural differences, the end result can sometimes look unbalanced, even if the treatment itself was carried out well.
That's why I take time to map each client's lips before I inject.
By understanding your natural anatomy first, I can tailor the treatment to create balance rather than simply adding volume. It's a small step that makes a noticeable difference to achieving soft, natural looking results.
As a Registered Nurse and Independent Prescriber, my aim is never to make every client look the same. It's to enhance what you already have while keeping your results in harmony with your features.
Have you ever wondered why one person's lip filler looks so different from someone else's? Let me know in the comments, or ask me any questions you'd like. I'm always happy to explain the process.

If your lips have never quite sat even, disappear when you smile or have no definition, this is the solution.
The technique used to achieve this maps both sides before any injecting begins, no guesswork, no migration and no second guessing.
If you want to discuss what is possible for you, send me a message or book a consultation from link in bio to visit us in Waterlooville.

You know that friend who has a suitcase packed three weeks before the holiday… but buys their SPF at the airport? 😂

Consider this their reminder.

Good SPF, plenty of hydration and a bit of forward planning with treatments can help keep your skin happy while you’re away.

And remember, not every aesthetic or skin treatment belongs in the week before a sunny holiday, so always check if you’re unsure.

Tag your holiday buddy who needs to add “sort my skin out” to their pre-holiday checklist

A little skin update for you all.

A few of you have asked lately about skin tags, milia and those little age spots that seem to appear from nowhere. Two of my services cover this, and I wanted to explain how they work together.

Map My Mole is a mole and lesion screening service. Every image is reviewed by a UK consultant dermatologist, so if anything looks suspicious, it gets picked up early and referred properly. This is always the right first step if you're at all unsure about a mark on your skin.

CryoPen is for removing benign lesions once we know what we're dealing with, things like skin tags, milia, age spots and verrucas. It's quick, precise and done right here in the cabin.
The two go hand in hand. Anything that needs a closer look gets checked first. Anything benign that you'd simply like removed, we can treat with CryoPen.

If you've got something you've been meaning to ask about, drop a comment or send me a message. Happy to talk you through it.

Does this sound like you?
You've been thinking about coming in for a consultation for a while. But something keeps stopping you. You're not sure if it's the right time, whether it's worth it, or whether you'll feel pressured once you're there.
I hear this more than almost anything else.
A consultation with me is genuinely just a conversation. No pressure, no list of treatments to push, no judgement if you decide it's not for you right now. I'm a Registered Nurse and Independent Prescriber, which means your wellbeing always comes before any treatment.

I'll soon be offering CryoPen treatment for benign skin lesions such as skin tags, milia, age spots and verrucas. It's a quick, precise treatment with no cutting involved and very little downtime.

I'll share full details soon, including pricing and how to book in. If there's a lesion you've been wondering about, send me a message and I'll let you know the moment bookings open.

I want to be straightforward with you.
I've been quieter on here than I'd like over the past few weeks. Not because things have been slow — actually the opposite. The treatment room has been consistently booked and I've been seeing a lot of clients, which I'm genuinely grateful for.
What slipped was the content side of things. Between my Lead Nurse role at the surgery and a full appointment book at Aesthetics by Emma, showing up here fell to the bottom of the list.
I think a lot of people in health and caring professions will recognise that feeling. You give a great deal in clinical work. Knowing when to ease off rather than push through is something I'm still learning.
What hasn't changed is why I built Aesthetics by Emma. It's for women who want to feel like themselves again. Not overdone, not dramatically different. Just a quiet, natural refresh, done by someone who takes it seriously.
🌿 Use the booking link in my bio to book a treatment or a free consultation, or message me if you have any questions before booking. I reply personally and I'll always be straight with you.

Today is International Nurses Day and I want to take a moment to celebrate every single one of you.
The nurses on the wards at 3am. The A&E nurses holding it together when everything is chaotic. The NICU nurses caring for the tiniest, most vulnerable patients with steady hands and quiet strength. The GP nurses leading their teams, advocating for patients day in and day out. Every single role matters more than words can do justice to.
I have been fortunate enough to work across all of those environments over more than 20 years in the NHS. Wards, A&E, NICU, and most recently leading a team of nurses, nursing associates and HCAs in General Practice. And the one thing that has never changed across any of it is this - compassionate care is always the point.
It was actually as a woman noticing the changes that come with age that I found my way to medical aesthetics. Not because of vanity, but because I saw the connection between how we feel about ourselves and our overall wellbeing. That link between confidence, health and how we show up in the world is something I felt deeply.
🌿 Medical aesthetics, done properly, bridges that gap. It sits at the intersection of clinical safety and genuine care - which is exactly where nursing has always lived.
So whether you are in scrubs today, running a clinic, or like me, doing something that looks a little different from the outside but still comes from the same place - happy International Nurses Day. What you do matters.

Today is International Nurses Day and I just want to say - if you are a nurse, nursing associate, HCA, thank you!
Whether you are still on the wards, working in GP land, in A&E, community nursing, or like me, you have taken your skills somewhere a little different - what you do matters. The training, the care, the clinical judgement. It does not just disappear when you leave the NHS.
It is actually what I carry into every single consultation I do here at Aesthetics by Emma.
Are there any nurses in my community? Whether you are in aesthetics or still very much in your scrubs - comment below, I would love to know.
