My routine is different on holiday. When I’m at home I’ll make myself a coconut matcha latte and add my Collagen Creamer, which is my fave.
But on holiday I’m not always going to have a hot drink, and I don’t want to take my tub to breakfast with me, so I decided to take the new collagen so I can just pop it in water every day.
So here is my honest opinion on the new Glowwa Collagen (not creamer).
Firstly, let me say I’m obsessed with this collagen and I didn’t want to go two weeks without it.
I love the original creamer version, but this is definitely easier for travelling.
It dissolves in water, although if it’s really cold it takes a minute. You can taste it slightly in water, but it’s not a bad taste. I would guess in a juice you would never know it’s there.
You can still add it to coffee, which I have a few times, and it has no flavour.
It doesn’t have the MCT (that keeps you fuller for longer), but to be honest I’m on holiday and want to eat local food as much as I can.
So for me this is a great option for travel, as I can drink it in a little bit of water or add it to my water bottle when I’m out and about.
Welcome to a typical appointment with me. I’m Sarah Daglish, a hairdresser and hair colourist in Watford, near Bushey.
This colour was originally created eight weeks ago and today it was time for her refresh. The goal was to cover the roots and then add a gloss through the ends to refresh the shine and vibrancy.
As you can see, the fade on this colour was beautiful. That’s one of the reasons I love working with YUV colour. When the tone is right, it doesn’t turn brassy.
I’ve named this colour Terracotta Dream and I’m in love with it.
What do you think?

I get it.
You started colouring your hair to hide a couple of grey hairs.
You didn’t like how they showed through.
So you coloured it again.
And again.
Before you knew it, you were doing it every few weeks.
The problem is, no matter how careful you or your hairdresser are, overlapping is almost impossible to avoid. And over time, that mid brown can start to look darker and darker… until it feels almost black.
If this is you, don’t worry. I can help.
One thing to know about how I work is that I’m not about huge dark to light transformations in one day. My priority is always keeping your hair in the best possible condition. That usually means a journey rather than a quick fix.
I gently remove some of that built up colour, without bleach, keeping the hair healthy and strong. Then we look at softer, less opaque coverage and subtle highlights to stop the colour feeling heavy and flat.
I work with women who aren’t quite ready to embrace their grey, but who want a better, more sustainable way of colouring their hair.
If this sounds like you, leave me a comment below or send me a message and we can talk it through.

These are the results of this lovely ladies hair after 2 visits
1st visit we balanced out the old colour with highlights, neutralised the rest, softly covered the grey with a demi and them toned.
2nd appointment this week all that was needed this week was a root touch up to blend the new regrowth and soften and new white hairs growing though and refresh some pieces though the ends to add dimension.
I used a demi permanent colour from which a beautiful premium range and gives be the ability to create the most bespoke gorgeous colours for my clients
A service like this (2nd appointment only) will cost around £197 including a colour care upgrade and cut and finish

I get it.
You’re not ready to embrace your grey hair, but you definitely never signed up for orange hair.
There’s a reason this happens. Most hairdressers are taught just one way to cover grey hair. That usually involves permanent colour and a developer that lifts the hair, often by a couple of levels. When the hair is lifted, it exposes the natural underlying pigment. That warmth is what you then start seeing as the colour fades.
What many people do not realise is that this is not the only option.
I often work with colour that does not lift the natural hair at all, which means those warm undertones are not exposed in the first place. That orange you see creeping through. That is the undertone showing itself.
You can still achieve great grey coverage if that is what you want. But for some clients, a softer approach works beautifully. It allows some of the white hair to show through in a way that can look almost like natural highlights, with a much gentler grow out.
There is no one right way to cover grey hair. It should be about what suits you and how your hair behaves.
If this sounds familiar, does your colour fade warm between appointments?
