Lip blush transformation ✨

Can’t wait to see them healed.

1st session - neutralisation of the dark parts with orange/coral pigment + one layer of target colour (in this case a neutral berry pink)

2nd - we wait to see how it heals. If the brown pigment is still too visible, then we add more orange/coral. Otherwise, we perfect the colour with the target colour.

Neutralisation is more complex than a traditional lip blush done on pale lips. In order to obtain a good colour, we must neutralise the melanin, otherwise it will show through every other colour and make it look muddy.

Patience is key. Sometimes more sessions are needed. A good result is always achieved by building colour slowly.

Lip blush transformation ✨

Analysis: top lip darker than bottom lip. Bottom lip sides darker than center. The pink on the center bottom lip is our target colour. Client has cool tone skin and green eyes - so neutral/cool pink as a target colour is what will suit her best. Lacks definition so contour is super important - she wanted definition particularly on the cupid’s bow.

First two passes were done with an orange/peachy pigment (of course I forgot to take pictures 🤦🏻‍♀️). Last pass was done with target colour just to blend everything together.

Final result will be visible at 6 weeks. Depending on how well her skin takes pigment, we might need another session of neutralisation.

Said someone who’s clearly never seen it done properly. 👀

If you’ve been putting off brows or lip blush because you’re scared of ending up with blocky, overdone, or harsh results — I get it. That fear is valid. Bad PMU exists.

But so does this.

Healed powder brows + healed lip blush on me. No filter, no makeup on top. Just skin and pigment that’s had time to settle.

Good PMU shouldn’t announce itself. It should just make you look like a well-rested, put-together version of yourself — and then quietly disappear into your face.

Yesterday I went to a butterfly farm and left thinking about ants. 🐜

Let me explain.

They had a leaf cutter ant display — and I genuinely could not move. These tiny things were cutting leaves, loading them up, and carrying them across a rope suspended in the air. Like 5-10 metres of rope. In a line. No chaos, no complaining, no one stopping to scroll their phone.

Just — work. One direction. Every single one of them.

I’ve been trying to build more discipline lately. Trying to stay consistent even on the days when motivation has absolutely left the chat. And then I watched ants do it effortlessly and felt personally called out by an insect.

My daughter was losing her mind over the butterflies. I was standing there having a quiet crisis next to the ant tank.

But honestly? It was exactly what I needed to see. You don’t need to feel inspired every day. You just need to keep walking the rope. 🍃

Oh, and there was also Shakespeare’s home. People travel from across the world to see it.
Lovely. Very historic. Absolutely no competition for the ants.
