If you’ve been following me since the very beginning of Face + Tell - before Victoria Mancini Skin was even born back in April 2024, you may remember my client, Roop 🥰

Roop has been one of the most dedicated and consistent clients I’ve had the privilege of working with over the past two years. Her journey is a true testament to what can happen when you combine patience, consistency, and a bespoke approach to skin health.

Together, we’ve done it all, adjusted her diet, explored potential hormonal influences, refined her skincare routine multiple times, and committed to regular monthly and bi-monthly facial treatments. There was no quick fix or miracle product, just a strategic plan, trust in the process, and a commitment to long term skin health.

There were moments when progress felt slow, but Roop stayed consistent, and that consistency paid off. Looking back at where we started compared to where she is today is incredible. Her skin is healthier, stronger, brighter, and she is more confident than ever.

When was the last time you truly took time for yourself?

I’m guilty myself at times and don’t take the time out for myself enough. Life gets busy, and self care is often the last thing I think about. But taking care of yourself isn’t a luxury, it’s essential.

Whether it’s a relaxing facial, a moment to unwind, or simply giving your skin the attention it deserves, investing in yourself is always worth it.

This is your reminder to slow down, recharge, and prioritise you 🤍

5 skincare habits that made the biggest difference to my skin:

1. I started using an oil cleanser for my first cleanse every evening, vitamin C serum in the morning, azelaic acid serum at night and the KRX priming peel pads once every 3 days - super hydrating and lightly exfoliates my skin without being too harsh.
2. Im careful with retinoids. My skin is sensitive, I have to be careful when using anything too strong or harsh for my skin. When I use retinoids I slowly introduce them and start with a low percentage for strength. I’d advise anyone to do the same.
3. I Invest in treatments that support collagen production if your goal is firmer, healthier looking skin. Treatments like microneedling/ laser treatments can help encourage renewal and improve skin texture over time.
4. I never use hot water when cleansing. Lukewarm water is kinder to your skin barrier and helps prevent dryness and irritation.
5. Wearing SPF every single day is non negotiable. Heavy sun exposure is one of the biggest contributors to premature ageing, hyperpigmentation, and collagen breakdown. Consistent sunscreen use does more for long term skin health than most expensive products ever will. Applying it once throughout the day just isn’t enough, I recommend to take an SPF spray with you wherever you go and top up every 2 hours.

Healthy skin is usually about patience, consistency, and protecting your barrier, not doing more, but doing what works for your skin 🥰

Ps whilst alcohol isn’t great for your skin, you’re allowed to enjoy a drink 😏🫶🏼
