New season, new basket!

I’m delighted to share that I’ve received two placements in the UK Hair & Beauty Awards 2026 for Holistic Therapist of the Year.

🏆 1st Place – Regional, West Midlands
🏆 4th Place – National, UK

The awards were based on a detailed application submitted to the judging panel and assessed by professionals within the industry, so to have my work and commitment to my clients recognised in this way is particularly meaningful.

Two placements, 1st in the West Midlands and 4th across the UK, is a wonderful achievement for KH Therapies.

I’ll be having a plaque made for the salon, which will have a permanent place on display. A lovely milestone to mark Holistic Therapist of the Year 2026.

🌕 Tonight’s Full Harvest Moon

I feel like so many of us have had a lot on our plates lately. Life can throw so much at us, and sometimes we just keep going without stopping to think about how we’re actually doing.

So perhaps tonight is a good excuse to stop for a minute. Have a breath. Have a think. Maybe let go of something that’s been weighing on you.

And then carry on. One day at a time.

As you’ll probably be aware, I have the flu and unfortunately my husband has it now too.
I’ve made the decision to cancel my remaining bookings for this week and I’m hoping to be fit and well enough to start again from Monday 🤞🏼

My message replies are a little slower than usual at the moment. I’m sleeping lots and resting, so I’m not managing my page as I normally would.

I’m really sorry to anyone whose appointment has been affected this week, but health comes first for both of us. I wouldn’t want to put anyone at risk of catching anything from me while I’m unwell.

Thank you so much for your patience while I take a few days to rest.

What started off with it being my mum’s 70th on Thursday ended up going a bit t**s up when she got the flu, followed by my dad and then the rest of us.

Proper old-fashioned flu, so I’ve had to admit defeat.

I’ve messaged all clients regarding Monday to let you know I’ll need to cancel, and I’ll be taking it day by day from here. I won’t be back working until it’s out of my system.

So for now, it’s candles, a hot bath, plenty of rest and letting my body do its thing.

Hopefully normal service will resume soon. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

As a massage therapist, this is something I truly vouch for. If only we could replace some pharmaceutical prescriptions with massage referrals… imagine the difference that could make.
