With the focus on COP26...

… and everything else going on, we find ourselves wanting a more natural and sustainable lifestyle - for planet but also for health…💚

Currently there are no set regulatory standards to market as either ‘organic’ or ‘natural’ for cosmetic / beauty brands.

Products that have only 1% organic ingredients can be sold as an ‘organic’ product.

‘Natural’ labelling can be achieved by including a high proportion of water in a product - because it is deemed natural.

Greenwashing is rife and so is our trust in manufacturers.

While recognising that steps are being made in the right direction, many marketing budgets being spent on ‘health & wellbeing’ end up just paying lip service to natural, sustainable or health credentials.

We think we are making good/ better decisions but scratch the surface of that earthy looking packaging with a nice green natural label …

Natrue has certified Weleda with an average of 80% organic ingredients across its ranges to be able to achieve this independent certification.

Additionally Weleda does not include water to achieve its ‘natural’ credentials.

Please take a moment to look up Natrue.org and become aware that ‘what goes on your skin goes in your skin’ and it can make a huge difference...to planet but also to your health (influenced by the number of toxins we are exposed to daily). 🌿
