Our Helping Hands Fund is supporting autistic adults across Halton through weekly arts and crafts sessions delivered by The Autism Wellbeing Project.

Thanks to a £1,893.75 grant, these creative wellbeing sessions provide a safe, inclusive space where people can build confidence, improve wellbeing, reduce isolation and connect with others in a way that feels comfortable for them.

Helping Hands Fund Supports Creative Wellbeing Sessions for Autistic Adults | Halton Housing A Helping Hands Fund grant is supporting The Autism Wellbeing Project CIC to deliver weekly arts and crafts sessions that help autistic adults in Halton improve their wellbeing, build confidence, reduce isolation and connect with others in a safe and inclusive environment.

🌼 Join us for a Community Clean-Up on Crow Wood Lane! 🧤

On Wednesday 7 October, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm, we're teaming up with AKM to help make the Crow Wood Lane area cleaner, greener and more welcoming for everyone.

We'll be carrying out a community litter pick, planting daffodil bulbs for spring, and working together to improve the local neighbourhood.

Residents are welcome to come along and get involved for as little or as long as they like. All tools and materials will be provided.

Fancy gaining a fully funded Level 2 Swim Instructor qualification and taking the first step towards a potential new career?

Through our Destination Kingsway initiative, and working with Active Halton, we have three fully funded places available for eligible residents living within the Kingsway area and we're taking expressions of interest now!

It's a great opportunity to gain a recognised qualification with the potential opportunity for permanent employment as a swim instructor with the Halton Leisure team following successful completion of the course.

Once you've completed the expression of interest, successful applicants will be asked to attend an in-person interview at Halton Leisure centre so you'll need to be available for either Monday 12th or Tuesday 13th October, as well as the full course which runs every day from 26th to 31st October.

We're delighted to support The Wonky Garden Garden and Halton Cancer Support Group through our Helping Hands Fund, helping to deliver a nature-based programme for people affected by cancer.

The programme provides opportunities to spend time outdoors, connect with others, learn new skills and improve wellbeing in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Supporting community projects like this is an important part of our commitment to Improving People's Lives and creating stronger communities.

We're delighted to announce we have taken ownership of 180 homes from Sage Homes, expanding our presence across Cheshire and Warrington and welcoming new customers to Halton Housing.

The homes are located in Nantwich, Sandbach, Northwich, Winsford and Warrington, helping us build on our existing presence in these areas and enabling us to provide high-quality housing services and support to even more communities.

This important milestone supports our continued growth and our commitment to improving people's lives through excellent homes, quality services and thriving communities.

Halton Housing Expands with Acquisition of 180 New Homes Across the Northwest | Halton Housing We have completed the acquisition of 180 homes from Sage Homes, expanding our presence across the Northwest, increasing the number of affordable homes we manage, and enabling us to support more customers and communities.

A Cleaner, Greener Kingsway Backlands 🌿

We've been working alongside colleagues, volunteers and local partners to transform the Kingsway Backlands, creating a cleaner, safer and more welcoming environment for everyone.

What started as a one-day Spruce Up Your Streets event quickly grew into a two-day improvement project, with teams removing fly-tipping, clearing overgrown areas, improving pathways and introducing new planting, including wildflowers and Verbena Bonariensis.

In total, at least eight van loads of waste were removed from the site, helping to restore this important community space.

This fantastic effort forms part of our Destination Kingsway programme and our commitment to building thriving communities where people can feel proud of where they live.

A huge thank you to everyone who gave their time and energy to make such a positive difference.

Working Together to Improve Kingsway Backlands | Halton Housing As part of our Destination Kingsway programme, colleagues and volunteers transformed one of the Kingsway Backlands, carrying out extensive clearance work and supporting the Kingsway Bike Project to create a cleaner, safer and more welcoming community space.

🌿 Spruce Up Your Streets: Kingsway Backlands 🌿

We're returning to Kingsway Backlands on Friday 11th September, 10am to 3pm to continue environmental improvements as part of our Destination Kingsway programme.

Our teams will be clearing overgrown vegetation, removing old timber sleepers and debris, and carrying out general improvement works to help make the area cleaner, greener and more welcoming.
