This lovely client first came to me because her natural nails would get to a certain length and then SNAP 😩 They just never seemed to grow past that point.

Fast forward to now… just look at them! 😍 She genuinely couldn’t believe how long her own natural nails had grown underneath her builder gel.

They’d actually got so long that we decided to take the length down a little, completely soak off the builder gel and simply finish with this gorgeous n**e gel overlay ✨

Builder gel has done its job beautifully — giving her natural nails that extra support while they grew underneath. Now she’s got the length and strength she never thought she could have! 🥰

✨ WHAT DOES “FULLY LICENSED” ACTUALLY MEAN? ✨

You may have seen me mention on my posts that I’m fully licensed… but do you actually know what that means? 👀

I am registered with Halton Borough Council for both Semi-Permanent Tattooing (SPMU) AND Cosmetic Piercing — and there are actually two parts to that registration:

🤍 Operator registration – I, as the person carrying out the treatments, am registered to perform these procedures.

🤍 Premises registration – my home-based beauty cabin is also registered as the premises where these procedures are carried out.

And becoming registered wasn’t simply a case of filling in a form and receiving a certificate.

Environmental Health came out and inspected my premises in person. They looked at my treatment environment, my equipment, the procedures I follow and, importantly, my infection prevention and cross-contamination controls to make sure I was working safely and hygienically.

So it isn’t simply a case of completing a course and deciding to start offering SPMU or piercings. Both the person carrying out the procedure AND the premises they work from need to be properly registered.

And here’s something you might not know…

These registrations aren’t supposed to be hidden away in a drawer. The registration certificate and relevant byelaws must be prominently displayed by law. That’s why mine are displayed in my cabin for every client to see. 📄✨

So whether you’re trusting me with your brows, lips, eyeliner or a piercing for yourself or your child, you can feel reassured knowing you’re coming to someone who is properly registered, insured and working from registered premises. 🤍

And wherever you choose to go, don’t ever feel awkward asking to see someone’s registration. It’s there for a reason.

When you try to prank your mum but forget she’s blind as a bat without her lenses 😭😂

Mum came round earlier for me to do her lashes and took her contact lenses out while I was doing them.

so I stuck a few fake lashes to her upper lip and jokingly told her that her muzzy needed doing 😂

Afterwards she actually said, “I thought you were doing my muzzy?”
Me: “Nah, it doesn’t need it.” 👀😂

She’s now been home for over an hour, had her tea and is settling down for the night…

AND THEY’RE STILL ON HER MUZZY 😭😭😭

I’m not telling her. I’m fully committed to finding out how long this lasts now. 😂💀
