Overall, the PFD patch is a legitimate medical adjunct with published evidence supporting its ability to reduce frosting and enable multiple laser passes in one visit, but claims that it dramatically speeds tattoo removal remain an area of debate and require stronger independent evidence.

Laser tattoo removal on a fresh tattoo is a recipe for disaster!
The Healing Timeline Matters:
A fresh tattoo isn’t just ink sitting on your skin. It’s a controlled wound that triggers a complex healing process:
• Weeks 1-2: Your skin is actively inflamed, scabbing, and regenerating tissue
• Weeks 3-6: The epidermis heals, but the dermis (where tattoo ink lives) is still settling
• Months 2-6: The immune system continues processing ink particles, and the tattoo “settles” into its final
appearance.
Laser removal works by shattering ink particles so your lymphatic system can flush them away. But on a fresh tattoo, that system is already overwhelmed with healing the wound itself.
What Happens If You Laser Too Early?
1. Severe Scarring
Fresh skin hasn’t developed the collagen structure needed to withstand laser heat. You’re essentially lasering an open wound, which dramatically increases the risk of hypertrophic or keloid scarring.
2. Ineffective Results
The ink in a fresh tattoo hasn’t fully stabilized in the dermis. Some of it may still be in the process of being expelled naturally during healing. Lasering prematurely means you’re targeting ink that might fade on its own-or ink that hasn’t settled where the laser can reach it effectively.
3. Infection Risk
Laser treatment creates micro-wounds.
Applying this to already compromised skin opens the door to bacterial infection, which can lead to serious complications and permanent damage.
4. Unpredictable Fading
Because the ink hasn’t settled, you can’t accurately assess what needs removal. You might end up with patchy, uneven results that require more sessions than if you’d simply waited.
What If You Have Immediate Regret?
If you’re panicking about a new tattoo, your best options are:
• Wait it out. Many people experience “tattoo regret” that fades as they adjust to the new ink.
• Plan ahead. Use the waiting period to research qualified laser technicians and understand the removal process.
Another happy client with the progress from her first session of laser tattoo removal at Zapped - the ink is breaking down and disappearing.
Back for round 2 - trust the process-

Keeping your skin cool is a priority that’s why here at zapped we have a medical cold air blower…. Although sometimes I use it to keep my self cool between clients 🧊 🌬️
Why does the foot hurt so much during tattoo removal?
The foot is one of the most sensitive areas to treat because:
- The skin is thin with little padding
- It’s packed with nerve endings
4 The laser works right over bone and tendons
4 Circulation is weaker in the extremities
& BUT don’t panic — sessions are super quick, and we use numbing + cooling to make it as comfortable as possible.
The pain is temporary, but the results are permanent!
