I had a video consultation with this lovely lady as she lived over an hour away and wanted to do a consultation before she came across

She has had alopecia areata for years and fines it’s worse when she’s under stress. She’s had significant regrowth but still had some patches she was struggling to cover and a recent promotion at work means she needs to go in the office more and she didn’t want to have to wear her headband to work.

So she went for an 8x8” silk topper in natural black 16” length and I cut and blended her existing hair into the topper

I’ve been doing this lovely lady’s hair for over 3 years now and this is her og topper that she bought from me in the very beginning

It’s had some tweaks with the colour and it’s gotten shorter in the process but my client loves experimenting with different looks.

We cut this one shorter and wanted a LuLu inspired messy bob. She also fetched a long synthetic with that we did a wolf cut on and added a fringe as she wasn’t a fan of the hairline on the wig. And we did a wash blow and pincurls on another so it was prepped and ready for her to take on holiday

She’s very open about her Hairloss and loves experimenting and matching her hair to her outfits like you’d match a handbag 🥰

Her hairloss is quite advanced but she’s in her “it is what it is” era. And when you reach that point- the only way forward is having fun with your new hair and embracing it ✌🏻💕

Subtle changes make the biggest difference

My lovely client had become more conscious of her parting since entering the menopause and noticed increased hair shedding from hormonal changes

So we went with one of the small and mighty 3”x5” 16” silk toppers to give her back the density she’d lost.

Washing your new topper will stop curl seperation and make the topper look and feel fuller. I know if you buy toppers online it’s always hard to tell what they’ll be like - however a good cut and blow in a topper to really make them feel like your own hair
