What a difference a week can make. These photos show from Day 1 of going into hospital with , to today — one week out of hospital. I finally am starting to feel & look like me again…sort of!🤭

I’m still feeling very weak, and I know my body has a lot of recovering to do after being so poorly. But I’m not letting it get me down. I’m taking each day as it comes, getting a little stronger and learning more about this condition and how to look after myself every single day.

I also just want to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who has messaged, checked in on me, sent cards and flowers, and shown me so much kindness. It really has meant more than you know🥹💐❤️

As for work, I don’t have a return date just yet. My health has to come first, and I’ll be back when I’m ready. When I do return, things are going to look a little different. I’ll be seeing just a few clients each day, with gaps in between, taking regular days off and saying goodbye to working late every night.

This has been such a scary experience for me & all of my family, but feeling very lucky to be where I am today. This has been a huge wake up call, putting myself first is no longer optional — it’s essential. I have to look after myself in order to be able to do everything else I love.

For now, it’s rest, recovery, learning, healing… and plenty more thumbs up❤️‍🩹👍🏼

A little update ❤️

I just wanted to let all of my clients know that unfortunately I’m currently off work with no confirmed return date.

I was recently brought into hospital with abnormal breathing and back and chest pain. After a night in resus, I was admitted to Intensive Care for three nights, where I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.

It’s come as a huge shock to me and my family and is a massive adjustment. Thankfully, I’m now off all the drips and learning to manage my medication myself, but after how poorly I’ve been, I still have a long road to recovery.

I’m under strict instructions to slow down, rest and take things easy. When I am able to return to work, my hours will be reduced while I build myself back up.

Thank you so much to all my clients for your patience, understanding and support. ❤️ I’ll keep you updated when I know more.

For now, it’s one day at a time. ❤️

It’s not always about the winning… BUT I did place in the Top 100 out of thousands of applicants for Beauty Therapist of year - Then to receive Highly Recommended for Nail Technician of the Year was a surprise! 🥹💅🏼✨

Owning your own business can be HARD. Trying to juggle work, life and everything in between isn’t always easy, and the last few weeks since coming back from holiday have definitely been challenging.

But moments like this remind me to stop and look at what I’ve actually achieved. I’ve built a successful business by myself, from the ground up, and that’s something I sometimes forget to give myself credit for❤️

I might not have got a win, but Top 100 AND Highly Recommended - I’m pretty bloody proud of that🏆❤️
