✨ A message from DKB Aesthetics ✨

After wonderful years, I’ve made the difficult decision to close DKB Aesthetics as a business.

With new regulations coming into effect in England in 2027 for non-medical practitioners, I’ve taken time to reflect deeply on the industry and my own practice. We’ve all seen how things have changed – the rise of 2 or 3-day courses that seem to let people straight work on faces, with many claiming to be fully qualified when they simply aren’t. Most of these practitioners don’t even have valid insurance, and honestly? I wouldn’t trust them with a paper plate, let alone my own face.

I built my business on proper standards: I completed university-level training covering full anatomy and physiology, plus business management for aesthetics, before ever carrying out a single practical treatment. After that, I studied every single treatment individually to master it properly. I’m not saying everyone who takes shorter pathway courses doesn’t do a great job – I know some incredible non-medics who practice safely and beautifully – but it’s undeniable how far things have slipped. Too many people have no understanding of risks or safety, and see this work as nothing more than quick, easy money. I truly welcome the new legislation, as it’s so needed to protect clients and raise standards.

After weighing up everything for the future, I’ve decided to step away from working in aesthetics professionally. To my wonderful, loyal clients – many of whom have become dear friends – thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for every visit, every conversation, and for trusting me with your care. It’s been such a privilege to be part of your journey.

For my very closest family and friends, I will still carry out a small number of treatments as a hobby, but this will no longer be a business service.

💫 What’s next?

I’ve been working hard behind the scenes, studying and gaining new qualifications to launch a brand new business and career change – and I can honestly say this feels like my true calling. I’m so full of passion and excitement for what lies ahead, and I can’t wait to share every detail with you all very soon!

So I recently did my advance dermal filler training, which I loved learning as I always do!
& been building confidence & skills with friends and family, before I offer the treatment to clients.
