Hey everyone,

A bit of an update,

I just wanted to start by saying a HUGE thank you for your support so far and a massive thank you for your patience over the last few weeks with Mum and Lauren. You have really kept them going and made a very tricky situation more bearable for them.

Having been out of the country for our first family holiday and our close friends wedding, I was pretty much helpless.

I'm now back and find myself at a bit of a crossroads. Back and forth of what to do to keep everyone happy (including myself) whilst also deep in the daily new born and breast feeding life and wanting to stay in this bubble forever. I knew going into motherhood as a small business owner, from previous experience, that I may not be afforded the same time off for maternity leave and grace for adjustment to big life changes as the next person but coming back this soon was definitely not in the plan. This has been learned over a 20 year period of major illness and loss and learning to 'crack on' on regardless. And whether it is right or wrong, crack on is what we do. Over the coming weeks I will be trying to figure out a way to do some keep in touch days/hours in the salon to lighten the load of our very small team whilst making sure my (very much still newborn) baby is cared for in a way that I am comfortable with, leaving him for a few hours.

I have tried to listen to people who tell me not to rush back and believe me am trying and I am in no way back to work fully, but working with such a small team with two people who I care about so much and their wellbeing being directly linked to mine, I am doing what feels right. Now, I may try and make this work and do a complete U turn in weeks to come. And what it looks like hasn't been figured out yet. I just want to give you all the heads up and to let you know to keep your eyes peeled for when I may be showing my face and to thank you in advance for making my transition back as smooth as it can possibly be.

Thanks for allowing us to be human, coming along with us for the ride, even when things get bumpy, we are so lucky to have clients like you! ❤️

20 years in business and can safely say we've never had to do nails by candlelight 😂.
Thank you to all our customers last week who were booked in whilst we had a power cut off and on for three days! We have been told by the electricity board they have found the fault and have been working on it for the last few days. Hopefully we will be back to normal tomorrow 👍🕯️
