Here’s the truth we forget:
Your body has shown up for you on every single day of your life.
Even on the days you felt tired, overwhelmed, it kept going. It carried you through work, through motherhood, through healing, through growth.

And that body deserves love in every version it exists in.

Your belly rolls when you sit down?
Your soft mum tummy that grew life?
Your hips that widened, your skin that stretched, your curves that changed shape?
They’re not flaws. They’re evidence. Proof of living, loving, creating, surviving. We do not need to get rid of evidence that we had babies.

So today, choose kindness.

Choose to speak to yourself the way you would speak to someone you love.

Because embracing your body isn’t a destination but a daily practice of noticing the good, honouring your needs, and letting go of the pressure to be anything other than beautifully human.

You deserve to feel at home in yourself.
You deserve to feel proud of the body that carries you.
You deserve to love the skin you’re in — belly rolls, mum body, stretch marks, softness and all — gently, honestly, and without apology.

My bravest client 😌

This lady struggles with shoulder tension, lower back pain and stiff muscles related to the menopause and a busy life as a business owner working a hard manual job. She has been my client now for almost 6 months! She lets me perform my most intrusive methods on her- stationary cupping, sliding cups, the most amount of pressure I have ever applied to anybody 😆 her pain threshold is amazing which allows me to get really deep into her muscles 💪🏼
We do all her appointments in her shop after she has closed for the day, as this is most convenient for her.
A big well done to her for making time for herself, prioritising wellbeing and recovery 🫶🏼

Tight hips change the way your whole body moves. When your hips are locked up, your lower back works overtime, your glutes switch off, and your posture collapses.Unlocking your hips means:
• Better mobility
• Less lower‑back pain
• Stronger lifts
• Easier walking, running, and daily movement
• A body that feels free instead of restrictedYour hips are the centre of your movement. When they open up, everything else follows. If your hips feel tight, stuck, or achy try these stretches!

The truth is, not everyone bounces back — and that’s okay.
Some of us rebuild.
Some of us progress slowly.
Some of us learn to move through life with new strength, new boundaries, and a new understanding of our bodies. And when you become a parent, that energy and time you once relied on changes completely.
With one child, you adjust.
With two, everything shifts again — your sleep, your capacity, your emotional bandwidth, your recovery. Not bouncing back doesn’t mean you’re failing. It means your life expanded, your responsibilities multiplied, and your body is carrying more than ever before.Your journey doesn’t need to look like anyone else’s.
You’re allowed to evolve instead of “return.”
You’re allowed to grow into a version of yourself that’s stronger, steadier, and shaped by everything you’ve lived through — not in spite of it. 💚

Being a women’s specialist means understanding women and their bodies- the way their hormones and systems work and how to maximise their results whatever their goals may be.

Nutrition is a key part of that. Fasted cardio, intermittent fasting has become a major trend. But all the studies that have been conducted and have shown metabolic benefits have been conducted on men. When these studies were repeated on women, the evidence showed no benefit to fasting- especially fasted cardio for women.

Fasting reduces kisspeptin, a neuropeptide essential for estrogen and progesterone regulation. Women have two kisspeptin centres in the brain (men have one), making them more sensitive to low energy availability.
This imbalance can affect:

• Cycle regularity
• Fertility
• Appetite regulation
• Blood sugar stability

Unlike men, women’s physiology prioritises protecting fat and carbohydrate stores for reproductive safety. When training fasted, women may tap into lean muscle for fuel — reducing strength gains and slowing metabolism. During the luteal phase, women rely more on carbohydrates for fuel. Fasted training here can feel harder, reduce power output, and impair recovery.

fed training often leads to better intensity, better recovery, and better body composition over time.

The good news ladies: you not only can, but SHOULD have that bagel before your workout! If a whole meal is too much and you struggle to move with a bunch of food in your belly- a couple of biscuits, a banana or some toast is a must before your gym session! And equally important is to fuel your body with protein AND carbs within 30 min of finishing your workout. 🏋️‍♀️

When it comes to workouts, more is not always better.

Over‑exercising places the body under more stress than it can recover from, and this stress is exactly what sets the stage for myofascial trigger points.

It disrupts recovery, elevates stress hormones, weakens immunity, impairs sleep, increases injury risk, and causes persistent muscle overload — all of which create the perfect environment for myofascial trigger points to form.

I treat these trigger points with cupping and massage and soon- dry needling.

Prevention is the best line of defence against painful trigger points. Always listen to YOUR body. 🧘‍♀️
