Biohacking. Longevity. Photobiomodulation. Hyperbaric.

The wellness world has developed quite the vocabulary, hasn’t it?

And while there’s some incredible science behind many of these terms, understanding your wellbeing shouldn’t feel like learning an entirely new language.

At HybO2 House, we love exploring the research, technology and ideas shaping the future of wellness. But we’re equally passionate about making that information accessible, so you can understand the therapies you’re interested in and feel confident asking questions.

So we’ve put together a little wellness translation guide, with a few of the terms you’ll hear us talking about regularly.

Swipe through, learn something new and let us know which wellness word you’d like us to translate next.

And if you’d like to explore the subject a little further, our latest blog, Wellness Without the Buzzwords, is now live on the HybO2 House website.

The majority of us probably don’t give our mitochondria much thought, yet they’re working quietly inside almost every cell in our bodies, helping produce the energy those cells need to function.

For people living with mitochondrial disease, that process doesn’t work as it should. And because our most energy-demanding organs and tissues rely so heavily on mitochondria, the impact can be incredibly varied from one person to another.

This week is Mitochondrial Disease Awareness Week, and we wanted to use our platform to help more people understand an area of health that still isn’t widely talked about.

It’s also a subject we find fascinating at HybO2 House because mitochondrial function sits at the heart of so much research into cellular health, energy and recovery.

One area being studied is photobiomodulation, the science behind red light therapy, and the way red and near-infrared light interact with processes involving the mitochondria.

It’s one of the reasons we find mitochondrial research so fascinating. There is still so much to learn about the way light interacts with cellular energy.

We’ll be looking a little more closely at that connection in this week’s blog and Sunday’s video.

For now, swipe to through, learn something new and help us raise awareness by sharing this post.

September doesn’t need to be another January.

You don’t need a completely new routine, a list of impossible goals or a sudden personality transplant.

Sometimes a reset is much simpler than that.

It’s noticing you’re more tired than usual.
Realising you’ve been putting recovery last.
Getting back into a better sleep routine.
Drinking a little more water.
Moving your body because it feels good.
Or simply making some time for yourself.

The question isn’t “What do I need to change?”

It’s “What does my body actually need right now?”

And if the answer is more recovery, more time to switch off or simply some space to focus on yourself, that can be a good place to start.

Our Signature Experience is designed to do exactly that. Give you time time experience both HBOT and red light therapy, alongside a full consultation with our team.

Full consultation + 10 minutes red light therapy + 45 minutes HBOT | Just £85

You don’t need a whole new you.
You might just need to look after the one you’ve already got.

Your first HBOT session should feel exciting, not intimidating.

If you’ve been curious about hyperbaric oxygen therapy but haven’t actually made the booking, sometimes it can be because you simply don’t know what to expect.

That’s where we come in.

From the moment you arrive at HybO2 House, our team is there to guide you through the experience, answer your questions and make sure you feel comfortable before, during and after your session.

And once you’re settled in, it becomes your time to switch off.

So if you’ve been thinking about trying HBOT, consider this your sign to stop wondering and experience it for yourself.

A little HybO2 reset this week for the Danielle Collins, The Face Yoga Expert Danielle

It was such a pleasure to welcome Danielle to HybO2 and give her some well-deserved time to relax, replenish and recharge.

Danielle enjoyed an IV at our Drip Bar with our wonderful nurse Bernie, followed by Normobaric Oxygen and a session in our full-body, 360° Red Light Bed.

From hydration and oxygen to full-body red light therapy, it was the perfect opportunity to pause, switch off and invest a little time in herself.

It was lovely to see you, Danielle. We hope you left feeling completely restored and re-energised!

Never tried HBOT before? It’s completely normal to have questions about what actually happened once you step inside the chamber.

What does the pressure feel like? Will your ears pop? How do you breathe? What happens during an air break? And what happens when the session finishes?

We’ve taken you through the whole experience, from your first consultation to stepping back out of the chamber, so you know exactly what to expect.

Because knowing what’s coming can make that first step feel a whole lot easier.

Save this post for your first visit, or send it to someone thinking about trying HBOT.

And if you’re ready to experience it for yourself, our Signature Experience is £85, including your consultation, 10 minutes of red light therapy and 45 minutes of HBOT.

Your next step starts here.

99.9% chance of amputation.

That was the reality Miranda was facing after a devastating car accident left her with life changing injuries to both legs.

What happened next changed far more than her recovery.

It introduced her to hyperbaric oxygen therapy and ultimately became the reason HybO2 House exists today.

This is Part 1 of Miranda’s story.

Watch to hear what happened, how HBOT became part of her recovery and what the results looked like after just 20 sessions.

Anyone else come home from holiday feeling like they need another holiday?

There’s a reason for that, and it isn’t necessarily because you didn’t rest enough. Getting back into normal life can be a bigger adjustment for your body than we realise.

In this video, we take a look at why you might not feel fully recovered when you get home and what you can do about it.

Because your suitcase might be unpacked…

But your body may still be catching up.

Watch the reel, then tell us, do you usually feel refreshed after a holiday or do you need a few days to get back to yourself?

The holiday is over. But your body might not be quite ready to go back to full speed.

Travel, disrupted sleep, different routines, late nights, heat, more activity or simply doing things differently, can all affect how you feel when you get home.

And then Monday arrives. Emails, work, school runs, training, early starts.

We often think of recovery as something we need after we’ve pushed ourselves too far. But it makes much more sense to build recovery into the routine before we reach that point.

The basics still matter: sleep, hydration, nutrition, movement and rest.

And for some people, therapies such as HBOT and red light therapy can sit alongside those foundations as part of a wider approach to recovery and wellbeing.

So as you step back into normal life, don’t just ask yourself: “What do I need to get done:”

Ask: “What does my body need too?”

Save this for your first week back.

And if you’re curious about experiencing HybO2 for yourself, our £85 Signature Experience is designed as an introduction to the clinic, combining a full consultation, 10 minutes of red light therapy, 45 minures of hyperbaric oxygen therapy and an opportunity to talk to our experts about your next steps.

Sometimes, the reason you build something is deeply personal.

For Miranda, HybO2 House began with a life-changing experience of her own.

After being told she was going to lose her leg, discovering hyperbaric oxygen therapy changed the direction of her recovery and ultimately inspired her to create the clinic she wished she’d had herself.

Today, that same experience is at the heart of HybO2 House; helping others discover the potential of HBOT and creating a space where people feel supported throughout their own wellbeing journey.

In this video; Miranda shares a little more about what started it all.
